I remember him mentioning this problem in a Q+A last year! The remixes he does usually take a lot longer due to the original artists being uncooperative, for e.g Chelsea Wolfe - The Warden cannot get released as Chelsea doesn't want it remixed. And I believe his remix of insomnia by Faithless is going through silly blockages due to rights etc

I messaged Adam X one year ago and he didn't knew about the remix. I guess after that they got in touch and approved the remix for release hahah
