After all these years, I keep coming back to this video over and over. I’ve probably seen it 100 times, no joke. It’s such a perfect reimagining of the tune, perfectly captures the tone and sentiment. It’s beautiful and ethereal and haunting, like much of Damien Jurado’s storytelling. “You’re no him, but he’s you…only better.” As a dedicated fan of DJ for 20 years, in my eyes Adna has made this her tune and it’s a real gift to the rest of us.
