How do you come to that conclusion. He was a Shia of Muhammad, which is the word Allah uses . Even Abu Bakar never mentioned we are Sunnis Imam Mahdi is the proof to who we should have followed according to Quran there's never two good sides there's one in the wrong and the other on the good side. Hadith Ghadeer says I leave u the book of Allah and my family . All Sunni hadith say Ahlul Bayt is he's progeny and not even the wives because they could get divorced and women go to other houses. This is where he said Whoever I am his master then Ali is he's Master here is the meaning of Wali . Like Quran Al Maidha Allah said I am your Wali and my Messenger and the one who gave charity while he bows this verse came because Imam Ali . We are all Shia according to Quran Sunni is just something made up yes Sunnah but not as a group but an action.
