Yeah, Japan is a very strict society, with a horrible work system and a lot of people, especially young people feel oppressed and fed up with all the unwritten rules, "common sense" in certain situations and these expectations society has towards them. This song was a big hit and controversial at the same time Also Ado was like 17 when this came out, her debut song if you will so this coming from a high schooler really just made it a bigger deal
