Thank you for all of the great information! I used Audacity back in college and am really enjoying learning more about Audition. If you're ever able I would love more detailed information on the healing brush for the bottom display and how you're able to so easily identify the different mouth noises and extra background noises. Love your videos, you've been a huge help 🥰

The healing brush is a life saver! You can adjust the brush size at the top and use it to wipe away errant mouth noise or most other noises that find your way into the audio file. Identifying the noises took practice, you can see what your voice looks like in spectral display, any other shapes like sharp mouth noises or cloud like breaths you can see as different shapes. :)
Thank Angela. Again very helpful. I think I will play with it for a while to kind of get used to it. Of course I have questions but maybe you can answer them here for me. How are you creating your favorites? Also, I attempted to set all the coordinates that ACX requires and I could not figure out how to do that. For example, when I completed an audition I wanted to adjust the peak value to 3db and noise floor to 60dbBRMS, etc.

Good question! For the noise floor, you'll have to adjust your de noise or whichever noise remover you are using in small increments until you have achieved your target noise floor without distorting your voice. Every recording space is different so there isn't a general preset for noise floor. For peak values: One way to do it is, In audition, in the box in the middle left where your effects rack is, at the top of that box there are a few selections. Find the one named match loudness. In the drop down for "Match to", select Total RMS. Set the Target Loudness to -3.1 db. There are a few videos here on KZbin that explain this better to help you before I can make a video about it... ha ha :) Hope that helps!

A fantastic video....you have a great gift-simple and thorough explanations...a couple of things: tail for ACX is 1-5 sec. Can you please do another video ASAP related to the second half of the marker thing...PLEASE EXPLAIN BATCH PROCESSING AFTER MARKING.
@VoiceOverAngela4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for that ACX tail info! I totally spaced that one... :) Are you asking about processing a file with markers in it? Or Batch processing multiple separate files? Thanks for watching!

@@JohnKostohryz Thank you, I personally do not use batch processing. I guess I am set in my ways... Although it would be great to learn something new. I'll have to look into it for both of us. Thank you for the question!

@@VoiceOverAngela Besides good, you are honest. But a great tool to have when there are an insane number of short chapters like in a book I just finished!

Hi, how do you know where to use the healing brush? How do you identify what needs healing when looking at your recording?
@VoiceOverAngela2 жыл бұрын
You can use the healing brush to remove mouth noise, breath, and anything else that shouldnt be there.
