I got the background and foreground working, unfortunately the gif covers it up with a white background and I can't fix it:(

Yeah you probably exported it with the white bg, the only way to fix it is to export it again (in whatever program you used) and make sure you check transparency, or edit your. Gif frame by frame in flash to try to remove the white which is a pain in the butt to do

how did you do that instant transmission effect when sonic is in the air?

I had a Sprite of lines fade in really quickly over sonic fading at a slower rate, I think I just tried my best to imitate the Mario bros z. Style

How do you make the ground blurry like that @11:38? I could never figure out how to do that.

well there's a way to do it in flash, but it is super un-optimized and laggs the flash player very easily. But what I do is go into fireworks, and just get the piece of ground that I want to blur and apply a motion blur at 0° and just turn it up to a good percentage :D

I don't have fireworks, but I do have Photoshop. I applied the same method you did, AND IT WORKS!!! =D Thanks dude, you're awesome!

Whoa how did you make that suspense animation where it partially zooms in and creates those lines making it like they are preparing for an attack

Well I found a sprite of the lines and tried to match it up with the V-cam. Then sometimes to make it more intsense I make a frame or two white while I zoom in (motion tween shrink) with the V-cam and the lines to the spot I feel is a good zoom :D

Well I took a basic sky background, cut it to the point where it would loop almost seamlessly, then I applied a blur effect before I copied it to flash (cuz flash's real-time blurring is a resource hog) then I just did the same motion tween loop thing except I did it vertically instead of horizontally :D

You insert a lesser keyframe,for example he put around 120 so that makes it longer,the less frames you put the faster it goes,and vice versa
