Adobe is one of the world's earliest building materials and was very commonly used in the southwest United States and throughout Mesoamerica. Adobe bricks are extremely durable and easy to make. This cinematic presentation was shot by me using one Nikon DSLR camera and edited by me in Final Cut Pro into a visually pleasing step-by-step instructional video with unique and closeup videography that brings the viewer into the moment. This video was shot over a four month period beginning in early September at the end of the dry season. Progress was slow due to me having limited free time to work on this project but I was fortunate that there was an unusual delay in the arrival of the rainy season and I finished the roof just a few days before the first big storm of the season. Enjoy this presentation and please like, subscribe and share!

I love you so much Chad, just because you are simply shortlisted for being a person who loves the mother earth sincerely and generously. The level of your patience, the love behind your work, the visualization that you are having to come up with such a awesome creation is simply mesmerizing. You are teaching the world and the people out there, life is very simple if you know how to live it. Life is meaningful if you know how to understand it. I love you once again. Keep going Chad.

I just discovered this channel and above all it reveals how difficult and time consuming it is to perform simple tasks with primitive tools, a celebration to the ingenious talents bestowed upon man over other animals and to how far he has taken us to better lives. Chad, carry on, love your show.

Me too, Chad, and have all my life. At this point I wish I had documented the journey, but was always too consumed with the doing. Your documentation is as artful as your handcraft. I don't know how you manage both at the same time. Really inspired work. Would that you reach a larger audience. You really have to care, to put so much into the sharing. I know it takes a lot of painstaking work. You promote values and sensibilities that the world needs. Carry on brother -- you're doing fine.

this is way better than any primitive technology channel I have ever seen. Instead of just building pools and cool huts from cambodia. Instead, it's more personal and more focused on your experience surviving in the forest rather than the structure itself. That's why this video is almost an hour long. Its supposed give you a sense as to how long building something like this would actually take. You could have easily just cut it into a 10 minute video like everyone else does. But you dont, and that's what I love about this channel. Keep up the good work buddy, you truly stand out among the crowd

@jackmeriustacktheritrix
@jackmeriustacktheritrix 5 жыл бұрын
Fish couldn't live in a stagnant puddle, they need water with a steady supply of oxygen, meaning flowing water. He'd have to dig some sort of irrigation system from a water source to his hut and then he'd have the issue of water being right next to the foundation of his hut which would cause it to erode and collapse.

I really love the fact you didn't use any existing tools (exept the water mug maybe) and used everything straight from nature. This video also really shows that low-tech building has a very elegant and beautiful feel to it. I could live in such a home and I'm inspired to build something like that in the future. :)

Yes, you could, it's really not hard at all. Just requires a lot of time and patience to allow the bricks to dry. In the hot summer months they dry fast but in the cold winters they take a long time to dry.

Why am I hearing construction equipment in the background with their Backup Beepers? Where are you building this? I mean, any moment I’m expecting some big bulldozer to come crashing through the brush. They are building a road nearby? Hey, that would increase the value of your property! Ah, there it is at 55:07 in upper left. Where is this? Really glad that you showed the lapse of time in there to get this done. Great Job!
