Instead of changing the transparency grid you can select just the top swatch then click on “simulate colored paper” then zoom in or out to update and it will fill with the color still giving you the transparency grid. Cheers and thanks.

you can use precision (3:30) if you press capslock, go to normal cursor by pressing capslock again

thanks for the feedback. The thing is that people using CC 2019 and above have access to the freeform gradient tool, which is vastly superior to the mesh function. I don't use it myself anymore..

Spent some time looking for colour themes in illustrator only to find out it's no longer a feature. As you can imagine was a bit disappointed as it seemed to be quite useful.

to my knowledge, signage design relates to posters, billboards and well, signs! You need to get the message across quickly and simply for this type of design, as people often only look at a sign for a few seconds
