Adobe Photoshop: how to remove wrinkles from clothing

I know some commenters are talking about patch tool, yata yata, but maybe for this example, it'd have worked, but as a blanket technique for a lot of wrinkle issues I've been asked to edit, this was EXTREMELY helpful and once you have the process down to memory it takes like 20 seconds to set up (can even make it an action) Thanks for the tutorial.

Just select the object you want to dewrinkle, blur it, then put a layer mask over it, use a black brush to erase all the blur, then use a white brush to paint it where you want it.. so so much easier!

Less clicks, but much more difficult to get a good results, you get problems with edges.

Hi there, this trick is used for photos only, to edit videos you can use Softwares such as After Effects

I'm sure its better to mask the shirt when painting as you'll notice the guys arm is blurring - looks weird like some sort of 80s dream sequence.

you can use the eraser tool on the parts you want to remove the blur from on the "low" layer

Not only have you done the longest way possible - you got rid of the texture of the shirt making it look fake.
