I actually went to college back in the mid-late 90's to learn how to build web pages, and did build quite a good one for a friend with a b and b, have not got a clue what I learned back then though, just taken me an hour to build a home page, as an exercise in keeping myself busy a bit longer it works well, I suppose sizing the images for the web in photoshop would be better perhaps than just copying straight in from LR ?, you do realise you have now left yourself open to all sorts of how do I do this, dont you. lol
@ChrisSalePhoto4 жыл бұрын
Hi Kelvin, didbyou build the homepage with Adobe Portfolio? To answer your question if you share a Lighroom album via the cloud all of the resizing is taken care of automatically. When adding individual images (as I did on my home and about pages) it is probably wise to resize them. I output most of my images in 1920x1080 directly from Lightroom.

I don't think we want to be too committed to Adobe. As Dimitris just said having Adobe control your online presence ties you to their subscription. That's the problem. It takes away one's independence and control over their own website. At least that's the perception. It may be a great website, but it's not ours. I love Adobe and really want to be an Adobe fanboy but I haven't updated from PS 6 because of the subscription model. And it's not even that. It's the fact that it's REAL SIMPLE to join but try cancelling your subscription and you have to ring a call centre overseas and wait in line 3 days (exaggeration) before you get an answer. Are you kidding? That's my issue. I may be wrong about all this now so apologies if so but at the start cancelling a subscription was made impossible.
@ChrisSalePhoto4 жыл бұрын
Hi Tony - My own personal experience with Adobe subscriptions has been very good. I used to have a Premiere Rush subscription but I decided to cancel it. It could not have been easier. You are right to a certain extent about Adobe having control of your online presence but everyone has full access to the underlying HTML of their site so it would be easy to get a copy. That way you'd could keep hold of all of your content.
