This railroad crossing has one WCH 1st-gen M-Bell in the front, while the bell in the back has a NEG E-Bell.

Nice video! The WCH bell there is actually a 1st Gen, and I guess is original to the signal there given the late-70s Safetran gate mech it has.

Thanks! Identifying mechanical bell generations aren't my forte, since they look similar. Thanks for the info!

@@PlingX FWIW, WCH 2nd Gens feature a stair-stepped base, while WCH 1st Gens don't.

@@freebrickproductions I was going off of the pitch of the bell rather than how it looks

@@PlingX Honestly, I don't typically use pitch for identifying mechanical bells, especially since #1. they're usually branded by the manufacturers (typically on the back) and have distinct-enough designs and #2. gongs can easily be swapped between most bells, as they all use 12 inch ones, and sometimes the same gong would be used by two different brands (like the gong typically found on WCH 2nd Gens, as that same gong was used by later WABCO bells).

@@freebrickproductions Ohh, okay. Atleast now I know how to properly identify WCH bell generations. Thanks
