It's crazy how many little dogs they have and they have a ton of pure breeds and pure breed puppies. I live in the northeast US and a lot of our shelters have fosters and we have foster based rescues too so not a ton of dogs just in shelters like that. Large pitbull type dogs tend to be the only ones who stay in shelters for long periods of time. Also theres pretty much never pure bred dogs in shelters and small dogs get adopted super fast here and we don't have any street dogs. There's more small dogs in shelters in the south and in california though, but nowhere near this amount i think. With so many pure breed puppies in the shelter in South Korea i don't get why people would ever buy them and not just adopt. The dogs were all so freaking cute!!! I want all of them. I hope there was a huge uptick in adoptions after this aired.
