It’s like they’re acting like each other, a bit like Sun and Moon did. At the start of the show, Foxy was trying to keep the friendship together and was pretty much the one who (tried to) keep Monty out of trouble, while Monty was getting into trouble, and making all these weird schemes to make money, but now, Monty is the one trying to still be friends with Foxy and now Foxy is starting to jeopardise the friendship that he himself was trying to keep together.

Honestly, I don't think that's foxy. In my opinion, that has to be the mimic. I mean he keeps on saying he "watched the videos", as in meaning he wasn't actually there. Also foxy seems to forget things, but that could be the mimics lack of knowledge on everything. This also explains why foxy is being so hostile toward monty and telling him to leave. Foxy says "I can get used to this, you know being my own person. Finally." and this could mean that he didn't he never wanted to be friends with monty, or this could be the mimic wanting to be loved. Foxy could have felt like he was constantly being pulled into danger, because of monty or something. While the mimic just wanted to be apart of the group while being his own person and possibly getting rid of monty, because he knows foxy the most so he would be able to tell it's not foxy over time. In conclusion, this could be foxy just wanting a different life without monty, or it's the mimic trying to take his place.
