Hi there. In this video I talk a bit about the difficulties that an adoptee of unknown origins will have, and I speak a bit about how to support the adoptee in how to deal with the loss. Every adoptee has a lot of loss to adjust to regardless; sometimes tangible loss, but in the case of unknown origins, certainly ambiguous loss. If you are involved in adoption parenting and your adoptee has unknown origins, there will be something in here for you. As always, open communication around the loss in order to help the psychological adjustment.
