I've been using the analogy of a pregnancy during the whole process of our adoption, but never thought about postpartum. And yes, it is real. And it is good to know it is not my fault and it is not just me. It helps to think about it as part of the process.

I don’t watch family channels anymore but I just love your family, I love the way you’re bringing your kids up. The bond you have have with each child especially Lincoln and Penny, & the compassion you both share with them. The vibe, the energy it’s all there!

So sad that so many folks see white as right, white as the master race etc., how sick, these folks should read up on the skin colour of Jesus, which is obviously not proven however respected adacemics/historians etc., believe his skin colour was dark, not white.

My parents adopted me in the 80s, and there was a big waiting list back then and it was a lot harder back then. I went looking for my birth family it wasn't a good experience at the start with the bio parents side. But I have my biological grandmother and cousins now that we will meet eventually. So it turned into a positive.

You and your family are an inspiration to us. We are just going through the adoption process after fostering for 5 years. Your channel over the years has played a big part in our lives as foster carers, we're from England by the way. Your family have taught us alot and have helped give us the confidence to go forward and adopt. Your advice about others judging is really helpful as this has been hard so far. In England we also do not get any allowance to adopt. The advice about anxiety was very useful as I've never been told this before . I am confident mostly about our decision but then will have sleepless nights panicking about all sorts of scenarios. I think all over the world many parents have made the step to adopt because of your ministry and I hope you know what a difference your channel is making. happy anniversary both x Thank you

We adopted from fostercare and we do not match our childrens race but we also didn't pick the children. All we did was open our home and then love them. This was such a good Q&A... When my parents did their international adoptions in the 80s there were no grants to help people do it, it was expensive but thankfully a banker said Yes and gave them a pretty big amount of money to go out of the country to get my brothers and told them you just pay it back when you can! The timeline from the start sending in paperwork was quick, sent in July, told yes early August went out end of August, adopted week after seeing them in person home few days later but I know it is not like that anymore! One thing my brothers have never been interested in is going to explode their birth country or even find relatives, only recently they asked to see their adoption papers!

My Parents died 1 Year from each other and I miss them dearly. Watching you as a Mother just reminds me about how much my Mom gave her all to us kids. My Parents had 14 Children. It was interesting watching Lincoln look at the Baby at his outdoor Bday Party. I think he wants a sibling. I watch LIAM AND ETHAN. They are attached. In my Family we were kind of paired up with an Older Child and one our age. Thanks for sharing all you do. These new labels that are placed on Families are to be ignored. It is a ship that will pass in the Night. It is truly obvious you are in Mission for the Lord. You are bringing Joy into People's life. Your Children look like you. Thankful

Cancer diagnosis also during this time. Lots of redoing paper work 🤦 And a lot of unknowns going forward. Dealing with some of this now. She is 10. Behavior issues... Which wasn't noticed earlier when she first came home. Adjusted great though. Didn't smile until we had her. But she was the perfect child for our family. Neglected we know was one trauma she had. 😥 She was left on the door step in a box with old clothes. So sad. But God knew that this was our baby girl. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
