salam i've always wanted to adopt but i kept reading in islam that adoption isnt really allowed? and that if you were to adopt, the child would have to maintain their biological fathers surname?

In regards to abortion. I heard abortion is only allowed when the woman was raped or when the pregnancy is threatening the mothers health and life. Please tell me if that’s wrong. Or where is the Hadith that says otherwise or agrees with it. Jazakallah khair
