Adoption does not have to be expensive at all. That is a very common misconception. If you adopt from your county children's services it costs you nothing. You have to be willing to accept the child God gives you, just like a bio child. If you want a "perfect" baby be prepared to wait those 5-10 years. We adopted 4 beautiful children through our county agency. First was 2 years old and the last three were newborns. To God be the glory!

We fostered and then adopted our three children from dhr. There are thousands of children in foster care. A large majority of them are teenagers who are longing for a forever family. They age out of the system at 18 years old. If they have no support system thousands end up homeless. Please consider adopting a child from your county or state through the department of human resources. ❤❤❤

We fostered and adopted our youngest two boys. The oldest of the two came to us at 5 months old and his baby brother joined us as a newborn. It took about two years for the actual adoptions to go through but they were living with us the whole time. ❤

Some foster systems in certain states are a lot different then others. Where I live, adoption through fostering is very difficult...so yes, it is very expensive for some people, also every family is different, so yes fostering and fostering to adopt is wonderful, but not every situation is a good idea for every family. Please dont judge people for trying to adopt from a different country, its hardly ever because they want a "perfect baby"...I know a family personally who adopted from a different country who is severly disabled for instance, because thats where they felt God was leading them.

@JentasticVintage26

@@jjduncan495 That may be true for a private adoption in the US or for an adoption from another country. Foster care adoptions are free as the county even pays the court fees. Our sons are considered special needs and we have been given an adoption subsidy until they turn 18 as well as Medicaid until they turn 18. Medicaid covers all of their health/dental and the subsidy helps with other expenses.

I’m adopted from Korea. I identify with your story sooo much. I was also adopted when I was 13 months old. Prayers for you!! I completely understand your I don’t want to call it disinterest I’m going to China. I remember going to a culture camp, and my parents eventually decided to stop taking us. It’s a very thin line. How much do you want your child to learn without making your child feel different from you. I loved the way my parents did it. They let us take the lead but they let us know very early on that if we ever wanted to search for our birth families they would support us 100%.

We have 2 miracle biological daughters who are now 18 & 22…..we struggled with secondary infertility for 8 years after that until God called us to become a foster family! We fostered 16 children from 2016-2023 (we have our 16th with us now) and it looks like we will finally be adopting our 16th little one! (The 15 before her didn’t need us to be their forever family….and that’s ok!) We have loved every single child and we never dreamed that we would say we have parented and loved 18 children! ♥️ God’s plans are SO much bigger and better than our own! Thank y’all for sharing! We adopted our daughter 3 years ago from Christian Adoption Services out of NC. Yes it’s expensive, but God always provides a way!! It took us about 18 months from the initial “interest” meeting until we held her in our arms. We did want an infant and so sometimes the wait is a little longer. That organization was wonderful to work with, taking us almost literally by the hand step by step, making sure we had everything we needed to have a successful adoption. Our girl is thriving now and is perfect for our family!

I am blessed to be able to adopt my great nephew. I am 64 years old and our son is 12 years old. He knows he is adopted and has been able to meet some of the family. Me and husband has always been truthful to him about his adoption. I believe that him knowing this information from the start has helped him to be grounded and okay with himself. He has never been angry with fact that he is adopt. And he knows that he can always ask us anything about his biological parents. I know it is a little easier adopting with in the family because you don’t have to go searching for answers, you have all information at hand. We tell our son that God brought him to us, and we are so so blessed to have him in our life. God is Amazing ❤

I also identify with Tiffany’s story, being adopted at 2 1/2 yrs old, w a similar backstory of being left near a police station w/ no background information in S.Korea. One thing that was interesting for me, on my Gotcha day, my pa ents met me at Honolulu Airport rather than traveling to Seoul themselves to pick me up. Back then (late 1970’s), it was the policy of that agency for parents to hire someone to escort their child to their new home country, rather than the parent going to that country.

My husband and I chose to adopt, from China, two times! The best decision we ever made other than serving God. My oldest daughter, Gabriella, was 12 mos and weighed 13lbs. She was very I’ll when we got her . She was like having a newborn. Her doctor in the states didn’t think she would live and said take her home, love her and feed her. We did and she’s now 22! Our second daughter, Dasha, is now 19. She is from the same province as you and same orphanage as you, Lianjiang. I’m probably not spelling it correctly. Dashas Orphange name was Liam Wen Gua. I can’t wait to tell her! She also wanted to have her DNA tested, etc. We did it for her on her 16 birthday. She also has several long distant cousins here in the states. She hasn’t had a desire to contact them. I’m so glad you shared your story. We waited almost 3 yrs for our first daughter. Our youngest was a nine month wait. It was and still is such a blessing to adopt! Anyone here please contact me for questions if you would like. Blessings Tiffany and Lawson!

You can trust that what you’re doing is if God and you will be blessed for adopting your nephew. James 1:27 says to take care of the widow and orphan. I researched that phrase to take care of. It actually means to make a permanent or ongoing change in their life. More that a dollar or a box of groceries. I’ve seen Gods blessings in our life over the years and I truly believe it is in great part for adopting our 2 girls. Adoption is such a part of Gods plan for all of us! Blessings to you!

We adopted our son from foster care. His bio mom put him up for adoption through the safe haven laws. His legal name was Baby Boy Moses until we adopted. I'm always encouraged to hear of interacial adoptions where the child continues to have a good relationship with their adoptive parent. I'm hoping and praying for this with my son. For anyone interested in adoption I highly recommend researching trauma and the brain. Failed adoptions are more common than you think. Adoption is not something to take on lightly.

I resonated a lot with Tiffany's answers. I was adopted as a 4 month old from South Korea to a caucasian family. I grew up looking obviously different from my parents, with no family medical history to rely on (still going to doctors now in my 30s unraveling that!), personally with no strong desire to visit Korea right now, and my parents did a closed adoption so they don't know who my parents were. I'm so happy Lawson and Tiffany shared this story. Whether you can have your "own" kids or not - adoption is such an important and truly life changing blessing for kids like myself!

Thank you for sharing. I was adopted 55 years ago, I found out when I turned 16 and at that time all I could think about was why I wasn't wanted! As time went on I found my biological mother and half brother when I was serving in the Navy, I found I came here by an affair that my mother had with a Navy man and my half brother served in the Navy as well (crazy!). As I got older and had kids of my own, I wanted to know more about my health and what issues my biological family might have but unable to find out as I still don't know my biological father and mother can't tell me as she had a mental breakdown. I lost both of my adoptive parents who I will always see as my parents because they raised me from birth. But every time I go to the doctor I am asked about family history and have nothing to go on. I joined 23andme to find many 3rd cousins and 4th 5th etc, but nothing closer! Have you ever thought of your health history Tiffany? Thanks, Brad Ramos

That was great when Tiffany spoke about her China adoption story! I hope that she and Lawson know that they don’t have to wait for 5-10 years to find a healthy child to bring to their family! Even though international adoptions promote special needs children these days, a lot of conditions out there are still manageable depending on how you look at them! I also know for a fact that Tiffany has to wait until she’s 30 if she wants to adopt from her birth country someday! Other than that, I’m glad Lawson gave her the chance to share her story! And one more thing, I had a couple of relatives and friends who were adopted domestically growing up and I’m hoping to adopt myself when I’m ready to start my family someday!

I fostered as a ministry while still single into my 30s. I ended up adopting 2 of the many that I took in. By age 41, I had married and after burying our first baby who died at 1 day old, we started our foster journey together as a husband and wife and ended up taking on our now 15-year old, as a newborn and adopted her at 16 months. Hubby also adopted our older girls who were 11 and 14 by that time. Foster care adoption is much needed as there are so many kids in the system. I fostered as a ministry, not specifically to adopt, and ended up adopting 2 of our 3 adopted girls whom I got straight out of the hospital as newborns. There are plenty more out there. Foster care adoption is FREE (DSS covers the cost of the attorney), plus you receive a subsidy package which can include a monthly stipend plus Medicaid until the child is 18 or 21. It’s not glamorous. If I said it was, I’d be lying. You MUST have a good support system bc most adopted children have a lot of emotional and mental health issues due to prenatal and early childhood exposure to drugs, alcohol, domestic violence and abuse.

I have a very similar story to Tiffany. I have always known I am adopted, I have zero information about my biological parents or medical history. I hold no negativity against my biological parents and am thankful they were selfless enough to put me up for adoption. I am not actively searching for my biological parents but would be thrilled if I could get my medical history. I have no desire to put my DNA out there though. Also, I would hate to try to find my biological parents and then disrupt their current life if they haven't made my existence public knowledge. I also wouldn't want to be rejected either.

Two are from Changsha, Hunan and one from GaoAn, Jiangxi. Sadly, God called our oldest daughter HOME the day after her 8th birthday due to Childhood brain cancer called DIPG. She was pure Joy and Light and she changed our lives and hearts forever , for adoption. God bless you for sharing your story.

I immediately subscribed when this popped up on my youtube homepage, because I am also also adopted from China. It's rare to find this kind of quality content and I'm definitely going to keep following your channel!

Thank you for sharing your story you are a beautiful young lady. Adopting children are a wonderful thing. I have two beautiful grandsons they are brothers. When my daughter and her husband adopted them they were two years old and 6 months..🤗💖

Love hearing your story Tiff and how you are at peace with who you are! You are inspiration! I was that child that told an adopted girl that her parents weren’t her real parents because they didn’t look anything like. I’ve gone before the Lord and asked for forgiveness for that as I’ve felt terrible about it. I’m not adopted, but I have lived in foster care and before I came to the Lord I felt a bit confused about my identity. I’m Swedish, but my dad married a South African lady when I was 10 years old. She taught me South African English and I went to live in England for a while. I felt an identity crisis because I didn’t feel fully Swedish, but I wasn’t South African or English either and I’d never lived in South Africa. Jesus has healed those wounds now and today I live in New Zealand since nearly 8 years back and now I know that my identity is in Him. NZ is so multicultural that it doesn’t matter so much where you’re from, which I really like, I can be who God has created me to be without that background label. In a few months I’ll be getting by NZ citizenship which I’m super excited about.

I found it interesting that you were the only baby that cried. Perhaps you were also a favorite and given extra attention because of your cute personality. I can’t wait to see your kids. I picture a family of performers making music together.
