He sure is my favorite vet in this whole series. Mostly because he has no need *and* no wish to fall back on the showmanship they have most of the other males in the series doing. Not enough attention to the actual work and the cases. Of course it's heartwarming to see all the vets being truly caring towards their patients but with Andrew you also always get a lot of theoretical explanations. It's a bit like you're his student getting to watch him during procedures and being educated. As an academic person, I enjoy this the most. He ist truly very experienced and talented to stay so calm even while being filmed during critical procedures - he'd be an awesome professor for any vet university!

I would say more so let them know what happened as it was a freak accident. Like they said the chances of it happening is 1 in a million. The other vets that refused to believe it was the microchip should be told snd have some sorta action taken against them as it happened at the time and after the microchipping so it was obviously something to do with it, just because they haven't heard of it happening and the chances of it ending up in the space between the spine is so minute does not mean there isn't a chance it has happened of can happen. They do sometimes move around after they have been implanted, my cats microchip dissapeared completely and they tried scanning him everywhere for it but there was no sign of it, so he had to get a new one.
@candilynnn
@candilynnn Жыл бұрын
@@patriciabilinkas3911 did you hear that it is a million to one? The thing too is depending on where they had it done such as a shelter or one of those spay/neuter/vaccine clinics they are just sometimes trained volunteers often not always vets or fully certified techs doing microchips or vaccines. This is why when say a cat/dog is found they scan all over because some just find any clump of skin. This is also why most of these same places make you sign that they are not responsible for any reactions. I was shocked where the microchip was found but have known a couple times where dogs had allergic reactions.

We had a problem with one of our cats when he got fixed. After he started spraying much worse and humping things a lot more. We asked them to check if he was actually fixed but all they would do was check the record that he had been. My parents took him to a different vet, they checked his testosterone levels and they were higher than a normal cats. They also did a scan and found that one of his balls never dropped or was inside him instead. He had surgery to remove it and we had no more problems with him spraying or anything.

the thing is, the suit would not be against the people who injected her. it was a total freak accident. the odds of it happening are so low, that the people who said it wasn't possible, truely believed that it wasn't possible. @@ShackleYT yeah, if a kitten is unwell and you don't try and find out why, that's not doing your job. I'm happy to accept that the microchip was an accident, probably due to the kitten squirming when it was injected. The vets that didn't try to diagnose the problem are in the wrong. We had a hound named Bella next door who constantly whined for attention & to go in. We had a young man as a neighbor then. My mom talked to his mom one day & it turned out that Bella was his former girlfriends dog & he never really wanted her. He never mistreated her. Just left her outside a little too much. After that he found her a home where she'd be happier. Poor thing just wanted to come over & play with my dog & me. I even tried giving her a chew like my other neighbors would occasionally give my dog to keep Charlie from barking. Usually Charlie was indoors or immediately brought indoors. But occasionally we had to leave him outside while gone. But no Bella's just wanted human attention & a playmate. We never even considered calling anyone to complain about it. Although being that long howling it was annoying. But it was more annoying she wasn't getting the attention she needed. That was very nice what you did. Especially since the owner might not have had any idea their dog was barking so much.

We just had to put my Solid Black Imported German Shepherd to sleep in October. Our vet said he was poisoned. We had no barking problem, no problem with any neighbors etc... No one can access our back yard, there is a highway there. So they had to come right between our homes to my backyard. We are pretty sure who did it. But our cameras didn't cover the side of the house. They don't know what was given but, it caused his kidneys to fail in a matter of hours. The only person with a grudge is a woman who was friends with a neighbor who tried to break in while we were in bed @4:30am. She looked in the front window but he was solid black and she didn't see him. I heard the door and thought perhaps one of my sons had woken up, and might have been getting something from the car. But then I Niklaus growling and going nuts! I jumped out of bed and as I looked down the steps I saw my son trying to hold back a 100lb. Shepherd who wanted to eat her! He had snuck up and jumped on the huge wooden front door, trapping her between it and the storm doors. My son just happened to have forgotten his laundry was in the dryer and had woken up and gone to get in from our basement. As he came up he saw Klaus hit the door. Things could have been very bad for her. But it's my fault! She had come ringing our doorbell because she said she was accidentally locked out of our neighbors about 3 weeks prior. It was below freezing. So I let her in and gave her some coffee to warm up, while she tried to wake them. They had locked the door and gone to bed while she was outside making a call. And they didn't wake to the phone call. It was about 4:00am! I couldn't get her the leave. Everyone she called wasn't home or didn't answer. I eventually drove her to some friends house. I was trying to be a good neighbor. She saw me take medication. I'm a transplant patient. When we called the Police they knew by her first name who it was. And we KNEW HER! Her last name had changed. And so had she! I didn't recognize her as the girl who lived nextdoor to my Sister-in-law growing up! Well, we are pretty sure it was her.

ikr. my very first dog was poisoned by our neighbor. He door dashed one morning (I was still asleep when this happened. I think I was only 6 or 7) and after an hour or two of my mom looking for him, they found him near one of our neighbor's front door all weak. She took him home and tried to find a vet near our area but sadly, at that time, the nearest vet we had was about an hour away and before they could even get there, he was gone. So my mom decided to take him home and wait for me to wake up so I can say goodbye and buried him in our backyard :/ It made absolutely no sense for our neighbor to poison him. They literally have a Dalmatian. My dog was a Dachshund and was just a young excitable dog, not even a full year old. I'm still pissed to this day 20+ years later.

2 Things about this episode that grinded my gears. 1. If your cat got a chip like that, I hope you sued, for the revenge of that precious animal! That means whoever did that doesn't need to practice. 2. The woman with the cute doggie, who said "My sister called me and told me to come home immediately to clean up this puke." But you couldn't find out what happened -eyes- ;

Kwatili is absolutely GORGEOUS. And her name suits her perfectly. She looks like a regal princess. Poor Mitsy though....I can't even BEGIN to imagine the pain and fear she has suffered from something as simple as getting a microchip. They say its literally a million to one odds that something will go wrong when a pet has a micro-chip put in them, but clearly Mitsy was the exception to those odds. The CT proves that it was indeed the microchip that was causing her suffering. If I were her owners, I would CERTAINLY be taking this vet's findings to the person who put the microchip in Mitsy and DEMANDING they compensate them IN FULL for the surgery costs they had to pay to remove the chip as well as any other moneys they are out because of this person's egregious lack of ability when it comes to doing this procedure. The problem started when Mitsy got the microchip. It would have taken them an hour at that first visit when they saw her having seizures to do a CT and correct the problem. Her suffering is THEIR fault because they SWORE up and down that it COULDN'T be the microchip and it WAS INDEED the microchip.

It is amazing that owners of pets know what's wrong even though 100 vets will say no it couldn't be. This kitten's fosters knew and probably the only ones who knew saved her. I had a 12 year old min pin that got a big belly was bleeding from her female parts I knew she had a womb full of puss. She'd die but no vet would believe me. I called the last vet in the yellow pages and said I know what's wrong, I don't need a 2nd opinion, I need a benevolent vet that will do an emergency spay when I bring her in.The nurse helped me with a payment plan and said bring her in . When I picked her up the vet said to me. Your diagnosis was right on. They all took the best care if my dog and I would not take my dog to anyone else after that.

I assume no one will be permitted to touch the little cheetah for payment and will rather be allowed close but non contact educational displays. I work at a park that takes very good care of our animals, and when we got a lion cub (from a sister park, his mom was a first-time mom and had no idea what to do with him so he had to be removed from her for his own safety) we did have him brought out once he was old enough so people could pet him. It was a socialization thing, so that he wouldn't freak out over seeing lots of people once he got big enough to go on exhibit. Even I got to pet him. Honestly, IMO, as long as the animal is clearly relaxed and the person who's actually in charge of the animal's wellbeing is present and constantly monitoring the animal's stress levels, petting from visitors is okay - it's yet another way of making sure people can become invested in the protection of animals. Sort of an "I've touched this animal, it is so real to me now, I want to help protect it!" kind of thing. We let people pet our two-toed sloth (he was an old man and didn't care, our new sloth is a feisty young girl and visitors can't pet her yet if ever).

@@tripsupstairs Yeah, but all it would take is one mistake and someone could get hurt. And the animal would probably pay that bill. I personally would prefer the public wasn't allowed to touch these animals UNLESS the animal comes up to them like maybe a 'Chimp' or an 'Ape' might. I saw a video a long time ago with a 'Brown Bear' that was posing with a woman. The trainer was right there but something about the woman irritated the bear and it attacked her, mauled her pretty good as I remember.

The previous ambassador cheetahs, you where able to go into their enclosure and have a real up close experience, but Kwatile didn't cope so well with strangers coming in to the enclosure, so just to be safe and avoid stressing her out, you can only meet her through a fence. You're still close to her and can pet her though. Was a really great experience. Keeper was very informative and you could tell how passionate she was about these beautiful animals.
