We usually got an ornament each from our parents every year, and we always got cute ones as gifts from family/friends/random people. And of course we had the "baby's first christmas" and all of those too. And we sometimes made them in sunday school even! So a lot of different ornaments that didn't match a "theme" haha.

My boy just got his school pictures too and I was so worried they would be terrible. He's full on 3 year old boy in his photos. His clothes are wrinkled, his hair was sticking up, and his legs were bruised, but he smiled so big! I was so proud of him.

Growing up (and I still am lol) my Christmas tree has always had a theme. Like my family and I but ornaments and we nicely decorate the tree with the same color palette. Once year we did silver, gold and this pretty turquoise color on a white tree, but tacky trees are cute too lol

Every year in our stockings, we would get an ornament that represented something about ourselves/something we did that year. Ex., when I did ballet there was a ballerina, when I learned piano I got a little piano. Over the years my brothers, mom, dad, and I have so many and it makes decorating the trees so much more fun!!

Growing up we had two trees. My mom decorated the main tree and it was always so elegant and the the "kid's tree" we decorated. Every year on Christmas Eve we got to open one present and it always had an ornament we could put on the tree.

We have one christmas tree and every year growing up our parents let us each pick out one new ornament. Each year we would write down what ornament we picked out and why. So when we were young a tree was mostly our parents ornaments but now we have so many cause there are 5 kids and the oldest is 24.... So we just pick out which ones are our favorite to put on the tree. We still make it look nice with a pretty ribbon. Its just really fun to look back at our notebook and see why we picked out the ornament we did!

Growing up my Christmas tree consisted of everything I ever made in school and til this day my mom decorates it according her to her color of the year but she still sneaks in those little ornaments I made in elementary school, it's really cute. I like the idea of two trees. I have seen people have more formal trees in public living spaces and a family tree with home made or random decor in the family room area. Then you can buy the fancy ornaments but then you have the keep ale ones too.

When I was younger the ornaments that we made in preschool, first grade, and like second grade we put it on a tree that was smaller and another bigger tree that we had good/nice ornaments. I'm now 14 and we still are keeping the tradition of having two trees one we call the fun/memory tree and the other is for nice fragile ornaments

Hahhaah brittney is so serious about her christmas stuff! So funny.. I cant wait to see what the house looks like with all the decorations :) - In our house we always grew up with random ornaments and we always got to decorate the tree! we do the "tacky" type of tree, we dont have any method to our tree decorating. We decorate our tree with things the kids make at school and past things the kids have made at school. We also go every year and buy a new ornament for each family member so we have some of this and some of that on our tree and we feel its the most beautiful tree ever. To us it tells a story of all the years passed!

Almost all of the ornaments on our tree mean something special to our family. We have one with my parents' wedding photo in it as well as a bride and groom Mickey and Minnie that they got in Disneyworld on their honeymoon. There are Miami Dolphin Santas and Anaheim Angels bulbs since my dad loves those teams. And of course there's the macaroni and Popsicle stick ornaments that my brother and I made in kindergarten. I love pulling out each ornament and remembering where or why we got it. Our tree is definitely mismatched but it totally represents my family ❤️

For Christmas we have 4 trees, 2 little ones that go on furniture that the kids decorate, 1 white one that me and my siblings would rotate each year and decorate our favorite colors and a traditional green one that would be decorated with gold white and red and we put our personal ornaments on it because we get personal ornaments each year. *takes breath*

my grandparents gives all of us grandchildren an ornament every year for Christmas. my grandma designs and picks a different one for each kid based off of what big thing happened to us that year. like when I graduated high school, the ornament was a girl in a cap and gown with a diploma. I'm in the color guard (at the university of Kansas, actually) and my first year they gave me an ornament of a girl in a color guard uniform with a flag. then my grandma writes us a note about the ornament or something. it's what I always look forward to every Christmas :)

As I have grown up I have had a tacky tree with random ornaments every year we go out and pick them out and from school and pre school but a good option is to buy a small tree for them to decorate if u want a really nice well done tree but btw the tacky tree looks really cute from all angles!
