I watched this just before attending a model/photographer workshop. I tried the technique and was impressed with the results. I also tried with a speedlight using a 7" dish/reflector & grid. very similar results.

Good timing. I might need this for a specific shoot next week. Bouncing a second flash off the ceiling but I don't know yet what the heights and distances will be (not my room). The finals you shot make me think of Sophie being under a street lamp. Something else for me to play with.

Need your guidance that how effective and efferent will be using Basic manual Speedlight instead of TTF Speedlight and can such lights can be low cost solution instead of Cylindrical studio Speedlights.😀

It's helpful outside too, especially with wide angle lenses when you want the light on your subject but with the flash outside of the frame
