This applies not only to Adore but to anybody in life....if you aren't emotionally on the right level to participate in something that will test you to your limits, absolutely do not accept it and attempt to struggle through because it will cost you and your emotional wellbeing more than it would harm anybody else. I completely agree. Michelle is a judge, she has the right to say A LOT of things if she chooses, but it definitely felt like some sort of personal attack towards Adore. With that said though, Adore really should of stuck it out.

+John Dern I don't see what Michelle said as crossing the line. It's nothing Adore hasn't heard of before and it wasn't personal. Adore is known for having an unpolished runway, and it was the FIRST episode of all stars and there she is again wearing a simple black sequined shirt that doesn't fit. Her makeup and hair wasn't even interesting enough to save it. Michelle was probably shocked at Adore's seemingly uncaring and lazy attitude and wasn't going to have any hog body excuses for her poorly executed look. And if you think about it it's true because Adore came into the workroom on the first day looking amazing, so she has it in her. If she's capable of doing nice looks, she was definitely not trying in this challenge very hard.

She's had other drag queens absolutely rip the shit out of her and she's never backed down once. Michelle apologising to appeal to Adore to stay is a personal acknowledgement that she went too far. I agree that Adore can all too often take the easy route at times, but to strike her at her core like that was uncalled for.

I worked in post production with a lot of reality TV shows and on top of producers and directors coaching the talent on what to say and do, they look for shots to spin a narrative, tone, and viewpoint. They have HOURS of footage to work with (including retakes of the same lines/conversations) and so they have a lot of material to work with when it comes to spinning stories to fit a certain narrative the directors and EPs want. I'm honestly glad I'm not in that line of television anymore.

Recently just finished AllStars 2 (Kinda new into RPD) and honestly when Adore told Michelle that it felt personal, I honestly felt like it WAS even though Michelle denied it so harshly. She wasn't critiquing Adore, she was full blown insulting her. Adore was actually stunning and took her concept of grunge drag and mixed it with actual beauty. She even said Bianca made/picked her outfit, and it was STUNNING! After Adore left, Michelle wasn't as harsh, she wasn't really harsh at all. She fully insulted Adore into leaving and it was horrible and disappointing One thing I notice is that when they invite queens onto the show, they sometimes critique how the queens look, like when they told Bianca that she wore too much make up, or that Adore's style of drag is wrong, but why would you invite drag queens on to change their look?

The problem is that Visage and even Ru have a very strict vision of what drag should be. The whole pretty, pageant style of drag. They don't really understand Adore's unique style of drag which is very grunge inspired and a breath of fresh air from what everyone else does.

Do you watch the show much? Lol often the ones who win or get very close are the ones who aren't afraid to be weird and stand out. It's a show about the importance of staying true to who you are and creating an interesting visual representation of it. A lot of times Adore's look makes her look a bit like she still doesn't know who she is--it's a bit of a mess, which could actually work if you make it interesting, but here it just looks lazy. You also have to think about what people are going to actually pay tickets to see.

If there's a season 3 of All Stars, I know a lot of people would be angry and say it's unfair but I hope Ru gives Adore one more chance. We can see she was going through a lot and it hurt and she understands what kind of troubles it takes for someone to leave the competition just like that. There was a lot more that we didn't get to hear, like how she said Raven's critique's were "nasty" and worse than Michelle's. Adore definitely deserves one more chance and I hope Ru sees that.

Ich bin douchè seriously what is RPDR fans automatically presuming "....but this Queen might do this again..." ,"or this Queen will probably be like this..." etc. seriously do you not realise that circumstances changes and how they acted in previous season will not mean that's how they'll act in the coming season. Adore was going through a tough time when All Stars 2 was filmed with her dad dying. That's really hard... she said it herself, she didn't mentally prepare herself, which was her fault yes, but that doesn't mean she'll act like that again in the future. People learn from their mistakes. Especially, if they regret it. That being said, I highly doubt Adore will be in All Stars 3, as that would years from now, and compared to the other Queens who would be in that season. It would be an imbalance set up. Plus, Adore doesn't need to be on All Stars 3. She is already doing well with her career as a drag Queen and a musician, with a growing fan base. She doesn't need it. At this point, the only I wish for her was get signed by a major label to boost her career as a musician to potentially be part of the mainstream media. but that's just me.

Ich bin douchè I was never saying she was seasoned. I'm saying that by All Stars 3 having Adore just doesn't seem right. Cause by then it'll be almost decade of being a ru girl. For me, I know what she was going through. things that usually dont bother you as a person often bothers and affects you heavily when you arent mentally stable. so I can see how it happened during filming.

Seeing her in the first two episodes was literally the saddest thing I've ever witnessed in RPDR. She's so talented and likable and seeing her break down after the judging was so difficult. When Ru said he'd say anything to make her stay, I knew it was real. She's still an all star. I adore Adore. Her season was one of the best top 3's in RPDR because I would have been okay with any of them winning but Bianca is Bianca so...

Tbh....I feel like she was probably told to say that. She left because the show tore her self esteem back down and she needed to get out of there for her own sake, but that makes Ru look bad so they've spun this whole 'she regrets it' thing. I think Adore made the right choice, and she shouldn't be embarrassed or ashamed of it.

there is something so magical and magnetic about adore that has me coming back to her and thinking of her literally like a decade after her season. like honestly. i'm so glad she put her mental health first, i truly am, but i'm heartbroken at the way it ended and the fact it's very unlikely she'll come back to compete. so much love to her

i don't think she needs to be embarrassed at all. i think that she did what she needed to do, for herself, no matter how shocking or confusing that may be to others. many prolly don't and will never understand why someone would give up or leave drag race, but she did what was right for her. i truly have so much love and respect for adore.

Problem too is that RPDR has set this standard for queens. You have to cinch, you have to look feminine, you have to be painted flawlessly, you have to be funny. There is WAY more to drag than that. Adore has this drag persona as being a 'punk rock chick' in punk rock chic. She doesn't cinch, she is rough around the edges. That's the point. In the real world, that wouldn't matter but on Drag Race it became an issue. And that's the best thing about having Drag Race in different countries now. That it will teach not only viewers but even Ru and Michelle that there is much more to it than being the pretty pageant one, the funny one etc.
