I had forgotten how well written and acted this show was. Lance Kerwin was one of the most talented child actors of the 1970's. He played this role with a remarkable amount of authenticity.

I remember being exactly like him at 15 - Kerwin being virtually the same age as his character gave the show great authenticity

@@wrxstigoabs yes, and much better depiction than a late-bloomer 18yr old (avoiding child labor laws and Jackie Coogan act) playing someone much younger/immature. This is a great show, I like it.

Lol I enjoy this too, maybe I like it bc it was made in the same era as “after school specials” in the late 70s and early 80s, some of which had Nancy McKeon, Melissa Sue Anderson, Paul Walker, Todd Bridges and Danny Cooksey. This “James at 15” feels like a step up from the multi age after school specials and a predecessor to teen dramas. It’s both exciting and a snooze fest, LOL.

The "Duke Channing" character looks like Nicholas Hammond at first, but he is not Hammond. He is not listed in the end credits or on IMDB either. I cannot place his voice or face from any other 1970's/1980's television series.
