Thanks for checking out the video. This was the initial ride for the 2022 CFMOTO Z-Force 950 HO EX. This was also the “break in” ride so keep in mind I did not push the machine to it’s limits. The goal was to give the machine a good shake down in a variety of situations to make sure everything was working as it should and get a bit of a feel for the new unit. I’ll likely put a little more millage and use on this unit before we take it out on a full out trail ride in the next couple of weeks and thrash it hard. I wanted to know what to expect and wanted to make sure there were no serious issues hiding. I wanted to get a bit of a baseline so I could gauge it capabilities. This way when I do take it out with the rest of the crew for it’s first beat down I will have an idea of what it can realistically attempt or handle. The true test will come after it gets a few good rides under it’s belt. For the most part, all machines work well brand new out of the box. What we want to know is how will it work in the longer term. Will it hold together or will we experience issues. If and when we do experience issues, what are they and how serious are they. It takes time to review a machine properly and anyone that claims they can do it in one ride has unrealistic expectations. Stay tuned, there will be more Z-force testing coming your way soon! Also, I will be posting a video of the custom roll cage build for the #BattleWagon 3.0 and the custom wrap installation. The next series of trail riding videos will also be hitting the channel soon. They will be from our trip to Tennessee this past March, so that will be entertaining for sure.

Both my machines climb hills way steeper than that without even engage the lockers. Great video though! CFMOTO doesn’t get the credit they deserve for their machines at the price point they sell for. Especially after I bought my cfmoto in February of 2022 ,a 2021 800ex . My cousin, when we went riding in NH was so impressed with the fact that it went everywhere I pointed it he bought the same 950ho you have. I'm surprised that you keep comparing it in this video to your polaris that you have as much in after market parts into as you paid for this out of the box machine 😅😂😂 I guess unlike the cfmoto that you bought yourself, your truly beholding to polaris and it showes . So in short you sold me a cfmoto with your videos I sold 3 more after that😅 cfmoto's ,by word of mouth. Then you unsold me to your brand by being pompous and extreme 😮 yes I said it 😂 ❤ with love .Now you have a family you can keep it real 💯. Just remember sell the sport and you and your buds . Try and have more family oriented rides . 🎉 P.S have you ridden Jerico NH . It's great if you ever do I'd like to Join you . I don't have my machine yet but I think the following from what I have seen/read; 1. Normal mode is there to take out the harshness/jerkiness of the throttle....has nothing to do with power, etc....just smooths the throttle out 2. you mentioned you were going to test out the warranty, but also mentioned you plan to tune the clutches and put in a tune......I think this voids the warranty 3. I think the override button will override the limiter in low and 4x4 low.....does not affect the limiter in diff lock though, at least on the 2023 Again, I don't have my machine yet so the above is just what other people have said Looking forward to the future videos

Having. Rev limit in low range has gotta suck . I could see a speed limit but not Rev. My commander has that low range power reduction but it’s connected to how much throttle it allows . I bypassed that and now have sport mode available in low range . You need to have a huge Rev range for off-road riding .
@AdrenalineJunkieProd Жыл бұрын
It don’t think it’s a rev limit. It’s a wheel speed limit. So if you lose traction and your wheels spin it hits the limiter and just fits power. Then you have to totally lift your foot of the gas and hit it again before it gives power back. It’s a really odd setup. I think it’s stupid.

This machine could be the ticket for someone like me. I have a modified Polaris Ranger that I love. Lets face it, a Ranger is pretty well always a Sunday cruiser. Looks like it be a good crawl machine. Suspension looks soft and soaks up good. As for fast stuff, looks like a lot of body roll. I’d love to see it on the bear wallow trail and how it would handle it.

Are you guys going to get a 4 seater when the little one is older or are you doing a bump seat?
@AdrenalineJunkieProd Жыл бұрын
We will likely end up adding a 4 seater to the fleet. I don't really like the center mounted bump seats. Now that out daughter is almost 8 and pretty tall she does well in the passenger seat using a car booster seat. Hoping next season I have the budget to get a 4 seater I like.

I believe they added it for 2022 and I think they removed it again for 2023, or changed it. It's really a stupid design. Not sure how it managed to make it through to production.

Lmao, trying to be honest… it only goes kind of high speed, lol. I’m gonna see if I can stretch its legs a bit more on an upcoming ride but with stock clutching and stock tune the power band really seems to cut out around 70-80kph (45-50mph)

Hey that wasn't a bad first run/ get a feel for it at all. Fun to watch! Mine did that once in my drive way, like it slipped out of gear. Made the hairs on my neck stand up 😅 . I could hear the clunking sound when you accelerate from a stop. Mine has been doing the same. Is that something with the clutch? I can't stand that. Other than those couple things I'm enjoying Mine and having fun. Almost 900Kms in a couple months of ownership. Lots of snap in high. Oh ya that low range limiter sucks. Something has to be done with that. Thanks for the video as always and looking forward to the next one. I watched the Rock House video... the sides of those hills you guys were climbing had me squirming in my chair. The camera actually showed how steep they were. 😊

I'm wondering how well the roll cage would hold up in a rollover, since it already has a bend in it. And no...I'm not expecting you test that. 🙂
@AdrenalineJunkieProd Жыл бұрын
LOL! I don't plan on testing the cage to that level, I hope the machine doesn't have other plans for me though... To me the cage integrity looks questionable too. I wonder how many people have taken a serious roll in these. Maybe if I won the lottery I could just push it off a mountain to test the cage, lol.

Do u still have this unit and if u do how is it holding up
@jimmydesperado2936 Жыл бұрын
That Low Range limiter was a mistake on cfmoto's part. Low range in my 2020 z950 is good til about 32mph and its beast mode for climbing whatever is in its way. That front diff will last a lot longer if you run it in standard 4 wheel drive instead of front diff lock. The rear is in full lock....and standard 4x does really good. Yank them mirrors off their and go with an inside rear view. All said....I don't beat my machine up like I'm sure you do with yours. I definitely have done plenty of riding like you portrayed here in this video. I've got nearly 5k miles on mine....I've yet to have a single issue with it.
@AdrenalineJunkieProd Жыл бұрын
Hey Jimmy. Great to hear your machine has been serving you well! What good is a locking diff if you can't use it? If it breaks from this type of use then it should be worried regarding what I have planned for it in the future, lol! I've got a bad track record with side view mirrors in SXS's lol. Can't wait to get more seat time in this thing.
@jimmydesperado2936 Жыл бұрын
@@AdrenalineJunkieProd Well I think it's written some where in the owners manual about when and how not to use the locking front diff. Mainly for when in stuck situations on straight paths where you are limiting steering from side to side heavily. Getting back to what some other posters have posted....and what you mentioned in both your previous videos right after you bought the machine. You have to take into accord what these machines cost compared to the RZR's and Mavericks. They aren't built the same. I think you have the right idea...don't raise expectations higher than what you paid. For what these are....and what these cost. The average rider like myself can pull a lot of miles out of them if ridden with some boundaries. If I could get a 60" RZR or General or Can Am Mav or Commander anywhere even within sniffing distance of what I paid for z950 new....we wouldn't be having this conversation. I think cfmoto quads and utility sxs's are on par with any of the big names.....but until cfmoto makes a $20k rail with hp numbers above 100 and a suspension package with a brand name on them....their sport sxs's will remain below Polaris and Can Am in the sport sxs slot. JMO.
@AdrenalineJunkieProd Жыл бұрын
@@jimmydesperado2936 excellent comment man. I agree with you. You raise a lot of good points. The key like we both know is having realistic expectations and making realistic comparisons. My goal is to push it a bit harder then the average CFMOTO owner will push their machine. If it can take the added abuse from me and the guys on #TeamAJP then it should perform similarly for most “regular” users.
@jimmydesperado2936 Жыл бұрын
@@AdrenalineJunkieProd yes absolutely. I want to see you abuse the dog eff out of yours...so I know even after 3 years and nearly 5k miles...how much more can I give mine. Best of luck....and keep up with the great content.

What was the noise your machine was making?
@sxsoutcast7651 Жыл бұрын
Need to kill the limiter. Makes a big difference. It's quite easy to Do but you can pay to do it too. The unit needs to run hard to see how it really does. Keep an eye on the diffs. My ring gear bolts backed out of the front and rear diffs. Someone just message ld me that his has 113 miles and it blew the diff. Just keep an eye on it. The linkage has also been an issue. The indicator may read like it's in gear but it isn't. There is a few things you'll need to keep an eye on but give it hell.

Interesting they added that Low Range limiter on the 950 HO models. That definitely wasn’t on the old 950 Sport models. Pretty sure MSC will get your limiter issue taken care of :)

You probably already know, but CFMoto is pretty well known for loose bolts out of the box. Known people who had to have the shifter adjusted and others who had lose motor/transmission mounting bolts that was allowing movement and causing it to pop out of gear…of course MSC guys will solve any problems pretty easy can’t say enough about the effort those guys put into helping customers, wish my local Polaris dealers were as eager to help as MSC guys are.
@AdrenalineJunkieProd Жыл бұрын
Appreciate that info. I’m gonna go over the machine in detail to make sure no bolts are loose.
@nicholasolsen4698 Жыл бұрын
Loose?! Haha mine was so overtightened it was crazy! When I changed my front diff fluid the first time they had cranked the drain bolt so hard when it came out it brought all the threads with it. 😂 their warranty is good though. Sheared a cam bolt at 2 years, 3k miles (US) and they fixed it for free even though it was WAY out of warranty. Rebuilt the whole engine because it got into the cylinder head and shot out the exhaust.
@ATVHOBO Жыл бұрын
Once you get a clutch kit and tuned it will be a totally different utv as the limiters will be increased in low and removed and removed in high as you. And as know the guys at MSC have put them through the paces. And you might want to get the tender spring kit from them as well. Then tires and then the beast will be alive. And maybe talk to rng performance about his clutch and new helix.
