Bashar Al Assad is a dictator who has been terrorizing his own people for years before the war even begun. There's no glory in that. The armed forces of Rojava has fought and defeated the Islamic State, and they've been creating the only democracy the middle east has ever seen. That's why anyone into punk, or rather anyone who believes in human rights and democracy, should support Rojava and not Al Assad.

@@marovlasic3167 In which way did Assad destroy terrorists? SDF defeated IS, not SAA. Assad still didn't manage to take the terrorists out of neither Afrin or Idlib, despite Russian support. To call Assad a freedom fighter is maybe the worst joke I've ever read. Freedom for who? If you know at least a little bit about what has been going on in Syria, you should know that bigamy and arranged marriages were tolerated under Assad, as well as domestic violence. Furthermore there was never any free election under Assad's reign, it was even written in the syrian law that "the power must always remain with the Baath party". Dissidents and political opponents where jailed and tortured, and kurds were stripped off their citizenship. So tell me, in which way were people free under Bashar Al Assad?

Oh, so you're one of these "my mum didn't give me an ice cream, she's worse than Hitler"-guys? It's easy to compare everything with Hitler, but most of the times it's just a sign of complete ignorance. Anyone who knows just the slightest bit about the Syrian conflict knows that neither Assad or the Rojava administration has anything to do with fascism. With the risk of trying to educate someone who is too ignorant to become educated, you should read up on democratic confederalism. It's way more sympathetic than both dictatorship and islamism, I promise.
