I was there in the crowd, pure gold. Lots of tension between the players during the match but both great crowd pleasers in their own right. Manley played the pantomime villain a treat and Ade coached by Phil was a genius at the time. The Circus Tavern was an amazing venue for the darts, great atmosphere and very intimate. Nice to see the seniors playing their worlds there now.

It's not blind as in not watching while throwing, but it is being confident enough to know it's gonna hit the target as soon as you throw it. As a basketball player myself, I know that feeling that as soon as the ball leaves your hand, you know it's good. But it takes confidence to look away as soon as it leaves your hand, when a crowd is watching, since you would look like a poser if it misses.

While it's certainly impressive, is it really worth making such a huge deal over? He had already aimed and his arm was already in motion when he looked away.
@zenzombie7210 жыл бұрын
I first thought it was about not looking while releasing the dart. Now I see it's the appreciation of something less impressive to the audience, but is more subtle. During the release he was in the 'zone'. We don't always know with feelings of certainty that the dart is going where aimed, but once in a while you get an instant tingle - then there's no doubt you know where it's going. I think "blind" is just a silly, misleading phrase.
@grimendancehall10 жыл бұрын
what are you saying you noob have you ever played darts or thrown a projectile. its nearly impossible not to twitch and flitch while looking away to do that simultaneously while throwing the dart is as impressive as it gets, surely u didn't expect him to be blindfolded.
