Katie George has it backwards. It's RB who have to prove that they can win without Newey, NOT the other way around. Newey has won multiple championships with Williams and McLaren before he ever got to RB. RB haven't won squat without Newey. Keep in mind RB weren't competitive at the start of the hybrid era when Newey was on one of his sabbaticals.

As a Redbull fan, while it's sad to see him go, we also know every good thing must come to an end at some point. I think if ever there's a time to step aside, now is the best moment when the team is operationally solid and on top of its game. I wish him well for the many years of his input at the team. Which is why I hope management won't flex to force him into gardening leave stuff. Also I hate the way media guys in old Tshirts, imagine they got the facts and what goes on in the minds that built this team...they will be alright post Adrian. Adrian has done us well and we can only wish him well. The none Redbull fans probably think oooh the house is crumbling, but what they don't know is that Adrian actually wanted to leave a year or two ago already. He was not so excited by the direction of f1 and also given that the team setup he really has had less of hands on work to do. So he has been looking for new challenges, which is why his passion is spent on the projects on the side which excite him. The end of an era but he leaves it in good hands.

Yes, he left for a couple years at the beginning of the hybrid era and how did that turn out for RB?? He's going to Maranello and I bet he'll start there early next year. The lawyers will find a way to get him out early.

@@CamKrazy2000 You do realize that redbull deficiency was not down to car design or chasis rather a power unit deficit which they couldn't do anything about? But sure whatever fits your imagined narrative.... Besides even if he went to another team, unlike some folk who like sensationalism, we have no problem if he pursues whatever energizes him. we are pleased for the time he spent with the team and wish him well. He has earned the credit to do whatever he pleases. remember if RB wanted to make it hard they'd insist on gardening leave and all....but we redbull fans appreciate his contributions but must also look beyond. Not saying he does not add value but the team is solid to carry forward.

Does Katie not like Alonso? Maybe it’s me, but he’s often ignored until one of the guys bring him in. Nate Listen to newey interview on beyond the grid he doesn’t believe in remote working. 😂 Alonso wrote the Spanish forward in Adrian’s book. 33 does to happen first then he can go to Ferrari and win with them too. In the BTG interview Adrian says he wants someone who can get everything out of the car; he wonders what his cars could really do. Then he mentions Alonso as the ultimate competitor. He even talks about 2014 offer haha 😂
