@@FrancesHanna-g8u Actually The Jews used to offer up lambs and other sacrifices to cover over their sins but Jesus (God the Fathers Son the Lamb of God removed their sins instead instead of just covering them over with his sacrificial death on the cross . Your reply (Jesus paid the cost so you didn't have to) is a misnomer for their is no man but Jesus who can take away ones sins. Jesus gave specific detailed instructions on what the Cost is to receive his salvation . We are saved by faith and that faith is doing what Jesus Christ commanded which produces works , for faith without works is dead. Jesus said count the cost before you decide to follow him and here is the cost. AMPC Luke 14:33 So then, any of you who does not forsake (renounce, surrender claim to, give up, say good-bye to) all that he has cannot be My disciple.
