Perfect example of how someone's entire life can be changed by just one ordinary person reaching out to help. We need more Mr. Perez's in this world. Edit: and for Dr. Conrad. I know he's a doctor and doing his job but he went above and beyond.

No, he needed someone that could read. His mother should be ashamed… she wasn’t an advocate for her son. She should have done the research years before!! She didn’t agree or think the dr.s were helping or weren’t caring properly for her son? HER JOB to say so!! He’s lucky his teacher cared enough to f’ing google the symptoms. She’s an example of a bad/stupid mother.

It's crazy how all these doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong with Adrian, misdiagnosed him, shamed him, and/or told him just to wait for his leg to heal on its own, and the person who properly diagnosed this poor kid was a high school math teacher using Google.
@maria-giulianalatini17245 ай бұрын
It's A VERY RARE SYNDROME. It took actually 65 years in my case for them to diagnose me.
@maria-giulianalatini17245 ай бұрын
There is no treatment for it anyway but they could have comforted him. I have this syndrome and had vein stripping done and use a compression stocking sometimes and keep my weight down. Put it in cold ocean water.
@lindsierose7975 ай бұрын
@@maria-giulianalatini1724 it's still ridiculous that of all the people who correctly diagnosed him, it was a high school math teacher using the internet. Even if none of the doctors knew about this rare syndrome, they all had access to the same internet as the math teacher (in fact, better access, since they also have access to medical journals).
@lindsierose7975 ай бұрын
@@maria-giulianalatini1724 there's no cure but there is treatment for the condition and this child could have avoided a lot of mistreatment from peers and pain he experienced.

His mother did a terrible job advocating for her son. She just sat back and accepted diagnosis she knew was wrong and let a stranger research for her son. She should be ashamed. Finally taking the lad’s leg situation SERIOUSLY after the leg doubled/tripled in size! This is unacceptable, like why would it take that in order for something to be done? They (The initial doctors) could’ve done something in the inception/onset of this illness but due to pride ignorance mixed with a touch of arrogance on the doctors’ behalf this poor boy had to suffer this! My goodness this should’ve been a lawsuit on account of the ignorance of medical professionals.😲👀🤷🏽♀️

The medical industry is more about “what’s more likely” rather than “what does this kid actually have?” They’re right 90% of the time, but if you’re a part of that 10%, it sucks.

Yes. Remove that thumbnail. I gasped when I heard the symptoms. I have KTS. Took 32 years and my own advocacy. At 43 I'm still trying to get any doctor to learn a thing about it and I know more than 99% of doctors about it. I was asked a week ago if I was hit by a car. By a nurse. I looked at her, dumbfounded, then laughed at her. Told her that was a first and all my years by a medical professional. .
