Lukanette was best at the time. What marinette truly needed in her life was someone like Luka who was attentive, caring and passionate about helping others as well as having his own passion in music. Marinette had mental breakdowns from the burden of her duty and stress in managing her life. During that time, Luka was there for her. He demonstrated so much empathy and understanding. Honestly, I think that if Marinette told him about her identity, It wouldn’t have changed his love for her unlike how Adrien would’ve. He would’ve been her biggest supporter, tended to her after hard battles and he would have taken the secret to the grave. However it’s not her fault that she felt she couldn’t tell him. Obviously the lies she told deeply hurt Luka and led to the end of their relationship, but she was also able to eventually share her burden by telling Alya abt her identity. Because Mari and Adrien were not as close as her and Alya or even her and Luka, I doubt she would’ve ever told Adrien at that time and I certainly don’t think Adrien would’ve been attentive enough to catch on and offer to be there as a friend considering all that was going on in his life. For this reason, I will always be team Lukanette for seasons 2-4.

Adrien was there from S1 but if Luka was from S1 I bet many would love lukanette. Everyone knows Luka values and always will be there for marinette. Part of me forgot that the reason that Chat Blanc happened was that Adrien was so in love with Marinette and was depressed bc he couldn't be with her anymore which is actually really sweet and terrifying at the same time. Adrien may have originally liked Marinette because she was LB, but he definitely was in love with her by the time Chat Blanc happened. So Adrienette all the way

Yas this is what I've been thinking. Mari has been too obsessed with Adrien and it feels too forced. Not to mention, that Luka doesn't friend zone Mari. Adrien should be with Kogami. adrenette unfortunately will never work by logic!! they are both the holders of the most powerful miraculous. love comes with sacrifice, if Adrien really loved her he would respect her identity! only way i see it working for them is if they stay together with their secret identities. luka gets mari and is always there for her. she can actually have a conversation with him and not adrian. i understand that cat noir and adrien are the same person but they dont act the same, and mari knows this by clearly being clueless to how adrien is not cat noir. she even mentioned several times how adrien is much more classy and her type than cat noir. @neveah ♡ For sure. Whoever likes Marinette and Luka together, that's cool. But remember, Marinette is in love with Adrian, for more than just his looks as it seems in some episodes. (I'll leave a timestamp of an episode with proof if anyone asks). Unlike the analysis where these two are seen as two people who have to hide their identities, and therefore can not be together, I think that's what makes them more alike. They are both going through the same thing, they understand each other. Also, we have proof that Marinette likes the Cat Noir side of Adrian too, because she found out about his true identity twice (but ofc time travel is a thing) and they were dating both times. The only thing is, when Marinette doesn't know, she's a bit overwhelmed with Cat Noir admitting his feelings when she already has her eyes and heart on "someone else" (Adrian) so that's why she rejects him. If she never met Adrian, but knew Cat Noir, we don't know what would have happened. What I explained also proves that this show supports loving one person, always having them above everyone else. Bug out! ✌️🐞

Me too, She's resisting her feelings for Cat Noir because of Cat Blonc, she thinks he will get akumatized again if he finds out she is Marinette, she doesn't know it's because he found out his dad is Hawkmoth and his mother is in a coma and his dad wants the Miraculous' to bring her back, it was too much for him he was torn between his love for her and his parents - but being alone as Cat Blonc he had time to choose her and wants the Miraculous' to set things back to where they are in love again, and in Ephemeral with everything going wanker with time knowing what she was about to do and Sass told her he went back in time without his holder she realized something went horribly wrong finding out Cat Noir's identity and knowing about Cat Blonc she blames herself, she's protecting him and pushing him away because she does love him

Luka is great! And he really deserve love. But Marinette is not the right one for him. Sure they are cute together etc. however she fits perfectly with Adrien. Since the first episode everyone said and thought so, the miraculous' fit together, their characters acts sometimes so similar even the full theme song is about their love for each other. I get the argument "Adrien just loves Ladybug for being Ladybug and therefore he will not love Marinette" but ladybug IS Marinette.. She isn't just a different character. Marinette tends to show her inner confident more often now. Also you could say that Marinette just loves Adrien for being the "perfect" model he is. Well she doesn't really care for his true character then? No not really. She does admit *SPOILER* that she values Cats humour the most and she even said that she may thought wrong of him. In defense of Adrien being blind, he was several times close for realising that Marinette is Ladybug (and even when he found out he was happy about that it is her and nobody else) but was told off by Plagg etc. Marinette could also realize that Adrien is Chat.. I knoe he is "different" but Alya told her that they look similar. In conclusion: Luka deserves the best, but it's not Marinette for him. Adrien and Marinette will find each other someday in the future bc it was made to be so (and bc I think that they are incredibly cute together).
