Me and my friends are just a bunch of Queer people trying to get by in the sticks. One of us inherited a tiny homestead just south of nowhere and all of us found a sense of safety there that we had no idea even existed. The first year was all campfires and fireflies but now the government is trying to take it back because the township thinks paradise is a mess and we can't keep up with the taxes. This song, this video, somehow says it all. The beauty, the loss, the magic, like a ghost captured in a jar and left on the shelf too long without enough holes for air.

It's beautiful. And what I like the most about it is that I can clearly hear your melody writing shine through on the piano part. I would love to hear Adrienne collaborate with one of the electronic musicians that does really good work with singers and instrumentalists. I'm thinking people like Fennesz, Oheohtrix Point Never or especially I think she would work beautifully with Ann Annie's delicate electronics. That lonesome wispy eerie vocal tone she has could sing so well above it. (in the same way Thom Yorke's voice too works very well in that context - like on Dawn Chorus).
