I prestiti alla fiore e al Parma e poi il ritorno in grande stile nel 2004,con goal al Siena (se non sbaglio parte 2.0) Da lì in poi giocate spettacolari di un giocatore che abbinava qualità,senso del goal e potenza fisica allucinante . Tutto molto bello finché alcool e depressione giunsero a rovinare tutto. Ammetto di esser rimasto deluso di vederlo sparire così dalla nostra squadra(post Manchester Inter 2 a 0 dove colpi un clamoroso palo),tuttavia per me sarà sempre il nostro imperatore!!!!

This man was the last of the great Brazilian strikers,50 appearances for Brazil with 29 goals.His career came to an end when he was about 25 or 26, his father died shortly before.Adriano collapsed mentally and never recovered.He should have been the heir to Ronaldo, he had everything to be a great strikerl,pace, good ball control,raw strength with the ability to hold off opposing players and a missile of a left foot from open play and in deadbolt situations.I don't think he was as good as R9 but he would have been a first class replacement.

R9 never had game in the air, wasn't nearly as good in dead ball situations, and wasn't that great at build up except for drawing markers out of the area. R9 was a phenomenal dribbler and finisher with both feet and was even better than Adriano in that regard. Completely different, but I always preferred Adriano tbh

Adriano had the potential to be a worthy successor of Ronaldo. Unbelievably talented, combined with incredible abilities. Speed, strength, technique.. The fact that his prime lasted only for around 2 years because of depression and his following alcohol addiction, is one of Football's greatest tragedies. He easily could've been the best striker of the last 15 years.
