Using Voice Control with Ecamm Live worked perfectly up until recent months when the Mac OS updated. Is there any way to use easily switch from one camera to another using Mac's built-in voice control feature? The Ecamm Live app involves pressing the keypad "1" or "2" to switch between cameras, however, voice control no longer allows us to use those commands, and requires a command symbol before. I live stream yoga classes, and it was INCREDIBLE when this was working.

Can Ecamm accept like midi control to change camer angles - or use an external “device” to change angles? I am a live musician and will be playing guitar, I want to switch angles myself without having to stop. Or is there an auto switcher that changes angles after a set time period? Thanks! How do I change the source of the PIP? I have camera 1 and camera 2 and a video. I wanted to have the video playing and have a small square of video 1 showing on bottom left. But, it only let me put cam 2 in that small box.

Can you automate a way where you have scenes in a group, and then the camera changes automatically every 5 secs or so and loops the scenes in the group? That way I do t have to focus on pushing a button to change the camera angles, just let it run on its own.

How many Mirorrleas/Dlsr can you add on ecamm? Mine was only allowing me to have a maximum of two. 1 external camera and the laptop camera

Hi Randy, I don't think theres a limit in Ecamm but it will be your processor that is you limit. If you are looking at more than 2 or 3 external cameras it may be worth trying something like an Atem Mini so your laptop only sees the one

I'm using an ATEM Mini switcher (because I already have it, and don't want to mess with a bunch of new cables / dongles and purchase camlinks) - how can I use the PIP function from the Elgato or even within Ecamm since all 4 of my cameras are coming in as one feed. The ATEM doesn't offer that sharp circular PIP...

Hi Adrian! How do you not get PIP when changing scenes? In testing ahead of my first musical performance eCamm livestream at one point I am switching to a scenes to a short video explaining my vocal setup. I am only using one camera, and I noticed I was appearing in the corner of the video as a PIP. Not sure how to show the scene without the PIP. Thanks for your help, if you can.

Hi Adrian, is it possible to view the non-selected cameras in multi-camera mode a bit larger so I can see what's happening on the other cameras? Right now the images are so tiny in the bottom left corner that I don't know when to switch the camera angle. I'm trying to run a multi-camera set up for events and need to monitor each camera to switch between them. Thanks for your time.

Asian American Writers' Workshop no, that’s more than Ecamm is designed for. Hello Adrian Salisbury. I see you've got some switching going on between cameras ( webcam and external cam ). Do you know how easy it is to switch between 2 or more external cameras while live presenting on camera. Or would you be better using an external ATEM Mini Switch?

Andrew Sweeney you can easily do it with 2 external cameras but maybe if you’re getting much more than two it would be cheaper to get an ATEM Mini.

2 questions: 1. How can I get 2 dslr connected to my laptop to switch between the two on ecamm live? 2. How are you getting the focus on your face using the HDMI connection for your camera? You told me the canon m50 cannot do that with the hdmi connection, but maybe you have a camera that can? which camera is it? thanx.

If they are canon EOS series cameras, they can connect via USB an be seen automatically. Or you can use capture devices such as an Elgato cam link or Blackmagic intensity shuttle if you have other branded cameras. I think he uses the Panasonic G7.

@@mauricesaunders5460 thanx but doesn't quite answer my questions...I already use an M50...are you saying if I want to use 2 M50s at once in ecamm I can just connect both to my laptop at the same time? also, I heard him say he uses the HDMI connection (el gato or the more expensive company). but with M50 there are issues if you use the HDMI connection (no face tracking auto focus for instance). that's why I was asking what cam he uses to see if it's better for this (as I saw he is in focus and background is blurry). I suppose it's possible he's just using manual focus and making sure not to move his head out of focus.

​@@dsha2006 Oh sorry, I'm almost sure you can be able to use both at the same time. I used a canon t2i via usb and a Sony camcorder in my test via a capture card though, but the way this program works I see no reason for you not being able to use the same type of camera via the same medium(usb). Yeah he uses the g7 and use manual focus, the autofocus on the g7's aren't really fast. But you can still get the shallow depth of field, because that has to do with your lighting+lens choice.
