Yup! Not sure he’s the best, but a very good player, nonetheless. Also..........If you’re not familiar with her, check out Chloe Feoranzo’s KZbin clips. She’s also the real deal. Very polished, great tone and a good improvisational player. Among the groups she performs with is Pokey LeFarge........very entertaining as well, although not gypsy jazz.

Love the way he plays the melody at the beginning of the video, with that 16th note embellishment over the diminished chord of the head. It’s the catchiest part of the melody here for me. Can’t get it out of my head 😂 Only version I’ve heard where the player does that is one of Django’s actually.

Gypsy jazz is alive and well and great to hear. I was beginning to think the visible audience (in the background ) were either Presbyterians or mannequins-no smiling, head bobbing etc-until the 1:50 mark when they came alive and applauded Giacomo. Great job on this number.
