use the word "Surrogate" yet has created negativity? what do you think the word meant? what did you think they signed up for and took PAYMENT for? By Embryo and Sperms; the child is never theirs to start with. SURROGATE. Some of you lots are just evil. someone inadequacies makes you so happy. count your blessings for being able to carry your own pregnancy.

👏🏽 Surrogate mothers are awesome! Even though they are "paid" I can only imagine the possible depression they go through after the constant connection of the child kicking in the womb, but never get to hold what you carry for 9 months.

It’s affects a lot of people even those in their very early 20s. If you have had your children naturally with no struggles; count your blessings. So many women struggle with infertility month after months & are trying their best to abide by all the medical advice so they eventually get their little bundles of Joy. This is a struggle that isn’t popularized on social Media but it needs to be!!! Adrienne is inspiring so many women not to give Up but instead keep trying no matter what .

Skin to skin is so important, I didn’t do it enough as I had twins but their dad was always shirtless and so he did skin to skin with them all the time and their bond is so strong my daughter use to cry and kick everytime he left the house, my kids finally care alittle bit about me after almost 6 years but I swear that skin to skin bond is something else, they had a bond with their dad stronger than with me for the first few years and I honestly believe that was the reason

That's depressing! I think it's probably more in your head and hopefully you're talking to someone who can help you see that your kids don't prefer your husband over you, or not because of the skin to skin thing. If anything, they probably feel your hesitation and negative energy towards them. I've worked in a pediatric ICU and had a premature baby. So many babies and moms don't get to do skin to skin, and barely get to touch for days, weeks and more, in the beginning, and have no negative effects or issues with bonding. Get some help!

This is one of the reasons why surrogacy is such a huge blessing. I felt so bad hearing about her miscarriages. I NEVER judge any woman when it comes to having a surrogate because you never know about their issues with being able to conceive. I'm so glad she gets to be a mother. Miscarriages are a very hard thing for a woman to go through.

I wish women would talk about birth control and how it causes this to happen to u. So when ur ready to have kids u probably won't. Not many of us can afford to have kids this way. My mom adopted me because she took birth control and when she got off cause now she was ready to have kids she couldn't and this wasn't an option when this happened to her. This isn't an option for many women

Birth control does not cause infertility… it may hide it so you don’t know about it but it doesn’t cause it.

You have to detox from birth control but it generally doesn't cause infertility. Usually there is an underlying cause...like endometriosis, pcos, premature ovarian failure(which is genetically linked)...etc.or some type of auto immune disorder or blood clotting problem.

I hate it when ppl say "everything happens for a reason". Biggest lie ever!! We live in a fallen world with sickness, darkness, rape, suicide, murder, children abused, just EVIL everywhere! And that was NOT Gods plan!!! He gave man a choise. He gave man a free will..and todays situation on earth is because MAN choosed it! (The world is in the hand of the evil one) God wanted us to have children. But because of this fallen world, sickness and defects it is very common you cant have it the normal way. But we may have it other ways. God heals yes. But you have to choose to walk with Him, to believe for healing. It may take time.. But God work true other ppl too to help, like in this case.. "Everything happens for a reason" is just an exuse for accepting negative things in life. If you don't get your goals, work harder! Pray! Read the word - it's the way faith grow. Don't settle and say "I guess everything happens for a reason". Btw, all ppl daying or struggle true cancer, you think "it happens for a reason??". NO

I wonder if they don't want to mess up their bodies. On the other hand, some people have been on birth control all their lives and think their bodies are toys to turn off and on. You are not supposed to take birth control for long periods. It would help if you allowed your body to reset. You have been sending your body I don't want to get pregnant messages forever, and now you expect it to turn off the notifications. Is having a surrogate any different from Sarah and Abraham not trusting God and taking matters into their hands? Hide quoted text

No shade to surrogate mothers. But damn I could never. Give them credit tho. She should get to hold the baby too. Cuz I know they take the baby as soon as they come out cuz they will get attached, but dang that’s harsh

Why? Also the surrogate usually wants nothing to do with the baby after the birth. You honestly never talked to one before. They want it to be about the baby and the bio mom.

This is such a negative ignorant comment, did u not hear her story sboit multiple miscarriages 8 ivf cycles that was her last embryo she had the choice to carry it herself but because of her multiple miscarriages her doc recommended another human carry her embryo for her. There are women all around who volunteer their bodies for free to help women have children there are even charities. If you Don't about something don't speak on it. Its a very hard tough and painful experience for women like her your a woman show grace

Many will disagree. But we aught to stop playing God. Just because man is knowledgeable on how to do many things dosen't mean it should be done. Not all knowledge comes from God. When it's his will all these extra measures aren't necessary. The same for people that argue they have the right to die with so called dignity by legal suicide, in the name of not wanting to suffer. I'll stop there.

Capitalism is a monster. Handmaid’s Tale is still handmaid’s tale, no matter the reason. I FEEL for Adrienne. I really do. Honestly. BUT, hiring low-income or middle class women, who lose the capitalism game to carry your children BECAUSE YOU ARE RICH isn’t noble. It really isn’t. I know people want their own biological children, but child birth is still difficult for women who are hired to gestate your embryos. It is. It’s why it hasn’t been replicated in a lab. There is no amount of money Adrienne could have paid to that woman to make it an “even exchange” or “fair services”. There is a power imbalance. And it is poor women/middle class women doing these “jobs”. No rich women are surrogates ok. There is a reason for that. This is just fancy slavery
