Adrix and Nev, Twincasters Deck Tech - DOUBLE DOUBLE TROUBLE TROUBLE // MTG // EDH // Commander

Double the fun, double the trouble. Well, in this case another commander that is half a Doubling Season -- Adrix and Nev. I didn’t think it would take very long to do the token doubling half that was left out of Vorinclex’s rules text. Let's see how wild we can make the battlefield with all of these tokens. Let’s just hope we don’t need a Cyclonic Rift on the other side of the battlefield.

You can also use Mystic Reflection defensively as you can choose one for your small no ability tokens and cause whatever your opponent was trying to cast to come in a 1/1 token instead. I edited mine to include some treasure token generation as well as Adrix will still double those. Comboed with Exix to either convert a bunch of treasure tokens into creatures or creatures in treasure tokens is super versatile I find. Qundrix Cultivator while not being the most efficient ramp on a stick, he is a decent body and replicating him in any of the billion ways this deck does mean you pretty much get a land drop every turn if not more. I find I exhast my deck of lands fairly often if I happen to get Qundrix Cultivator into play at all.

think about this: if you have Exix, Fractal Bloom in play, and then play Avenger of Zendikar, all of those plant tokens can come in as tokens of Avenger of Zendikar, which will then create their own plants. So, if you have 8 plants, those become 8 token Avengers, which create a total of 64 token Plants. Same action works for Hornet Queen if Esix is in play, regardless of whether Adrix and Nev are in play. I used this once and ended up with something like 32 1/1 flying deathtouch insects in one turn!!!

Yeah, that combo is pretty insane, I've never done that myself, but I've seen it done.

As a person who runs a modified Adrix deck as a casual main, one of the best combos with esix is actually with garuk ult and desolation twin, 20 10/10s is pretty fun to mess around with

I’ve been running a similar deck for a few weeks. I’m really struggling to find the win condition. Once I get token mass I become a target or late game I struggle to build momentum after board wipes. After watching this video I found a few cards I may add. Thank you

Nice deck. It's almost exactly the build I went with. I'm testing out Beacon of Creation as soon as it comes in the mail. It seems like it can create some fun plays with Esix.

I focused a lot heavier in on copying/ETB for my Adrix and Nev deck. Risen Reef 3 mana Draw or ramp if its a land, copy it with A&N out draw/ramp 5 more times. Echo Storm clone your Sol Ring/Treasures/Signets for massive mana Tireless Provisioner each landfall is 2 Treasure copying him means tons of treasure ramp. Biomathematician 2 fractal ETB + Fractal Anthem. Giant Adephage creates 2 copies of itself. Orvar, the All Form each time i target my creatures to copy, create an extra copy (2 with A&N) Dormant Sliver 4 mana draw 1, but copy it once with A&N out and draw 5 more. Double Major doesn't get doubled by A&N but its still a 2 many copy. Blade of Selves 6 copy ETB spam each combat, with Giant Adephage 7 attacking creates 14 more that stay on the field. Combine Chrysalis let's give all these tokens flying Biovisionary honestly thinking of removing because he's too easy and boring as a win con Panharmonicon to duplicate the ETBs Precursor Golem copied once is 18 Golems and Tishana, Voice of Thunder 7 mana Draw cards equal to creatures you control and no max hand size.

These are sweet cards, I really like the inclusion of Orvar, I think that is a super spicy one. Dormant Sliver/Risen Reef are sweet as it's exponential gain for every copy, I'll have to keep those in mind for any copy type deck.

@@vex_mtg Oh yeah Orvar is insane, especially when you can pongify your own creatures in a pinch and net 2 tokens plus the 2 copies. And Risen Reef/Sliver can easily draw your whole deck if you have decent instant/sorcery recursion.

Hi, I just got the Quantum Quandrix precon deck and have a technical question. Can I use Esix fractal bloom to make copies of my commander AandN? Both cards are legendary creatures and Esix says “... choose a creature and create that many copies of that creature”. Does AandN count as a creature? Thanks!

@Matt Clinton, you can use Esix to make copies of Adrix and Nev, but you'll only end up with one of them because of the legend rule.

Legendary rule makes it so only one copy of a legendary can be out at the same time. Now if you use helm of host, since it states the copy is not legendary you could copy adrix, and nev, and have 2 out.

So I have a question when I double a token with x counter on it i think that the token is what it get doubled but the counters stay in the original token, because if that's how it works then when you create a fractal token its duplicates and then die because its a 0/0, thanks for any answers

You would get 2 tokens with the same number of counters.

Im new to magic so I wanted to know how many token copies does Andrix and nev does, it makes 1 copy for each new tokens or it makes 2 copies for each new tokens? Cuz im confuse about that

Question about this deck, what happens if you have A&N Doubling season and Parallel lives??? Does it multiply it by 6 since everything is doubling or do you use exponents? So you’d be 16^ of ____? I’m confused on we’re the multiplier comes in for the deck?

@WolfSajin, If you have Adrix and Nex (x2) then Doubling Season (x2 x2 = x4) then Parallel Lives (x4 x2 = x8) you'll get 8x tokens.

So, with the banning of Hullbreacher, what would you consider a suitable replacement? I'm personally considering Spell Swindle, as it still makes treasure tokens and denies resources for my opponent.

@Zaros2400, I think Spell Swindle would be a good replacement. I would personally replace it with a land, the deck is a little lighter on lands than I want.
