ADSB. Wonderful stuff. They (just about anyone) can track your every move. Where you fly to, how long you stay, how fast and how high you fly. They can get your registration number, go to an app on their phone and get your home address. They can then go to google earth, insert your address, go to street level and be standing in front of your house. All in the name of safety? Sure, what could go wrong?

I think that's Elon Musk's point, too. Celebs and their jets can be tracked, as well as our climate czar.

I hear your point... But I also know that you can turn off (Canada anyway) the part of the ADS-B that sends out your registration mark. I do this often and the ADSB-B just outputs the generic info about speed and altitude; but nothing about registration. There's also the FAA's (I assume you are US based) Privacy ICAO aircraft address program, that will hide your registration and replace it with a 'Call Sign' that has no link to your registration.

lol and why would “they” do that unless you bust a bravo or do something reckless? You think there are shadowy dudes somewhere, curling their mustaches while watching everyone on ADSB and going “buahahahaaa”? I hate to tell you but you can be tracked a million ways to Sunday nowadays. ADSB should be the least of your worries while carrying around a mobile “HERE I AM” in your pocket that has cameras and the ability to listen in on every conversation you have.

Do you know what engine that Swift has? Sounded good.

He's a transient so I didn't meet him, but I'd almost bet he's running an O-360- that's a lot of power for a small plane.

My hanger neighbor flys a swift with the same engine that’s in my M20j. Minus fuel injection. O-360
