Not exactly, it's just a pure use of the Yoruba language in the context of Romans 12:1. Please read in Yoruba. 1 Peter 2:9 describes believers in Christ as a royal priesthood among other tags. What do priests do? They offer sacrifices. The difference between believers in Christ and other priests is the type of sacrifice offered. We chiefly offer our bodies as living sacrifices for the One who gave Himself for us. So, while alive, we give ourselves to Him as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable to Him. When we pray, sing, dance, give and do whatever in worship of God, they should be founded on the context of our bodies being living sacrifices. This is why the Lord is not pleased when we offer outward sacrifices like praying, singing, giving etc and our entire body is not used to please Him as a living sacrifice.
