Adult Braces Update

Wow! Your smile is way more pretty than before... I'm so disappointed with my dentist, I have crowded teeth before and decided to get brace then I noticed that after a year my teeth pushed forward, it's kinda bothering me cause I don't like the result. I've told my dentist about this and to solve this problem of mine we need to extract 4 of my "wisdom tooth" which is a no for me. Before this treatment I decided to make a background research about the effect of pulling wisdom tooth in crowded teeth but it seems that most of them disagree with the decision, they said that pulling wisdom tooth won't make a change for crowded teeth. I have an appointment with my dentist tomorrow and I'll try if its okay to pull my second premolar tooth instead of wisdom tooth. Please give me an advice :( I'm really happy with the result of your braces!!! Thanks :)

Thank you! It sounds like your dentist didnt know what he was doing, lol. Why didn't he remove teeth before you got the braces on if your teeth were crowded? Ive seen a lot of people with crowed teeth get the same tooth extractions that I did. I would go visit a different dentist for another opinion. I hope my answer helpss???

@@Melissadacruzz sorry for the late response, the pain just lasted for like 6 hour after the extraction. Worst is the power chain, I got em yesterday twas seriously painful till now 😭

I’ll never forget that pain! Take an Advil or Tylenol before your next tightening appointment. It helps so much!

Since getting the braces off, have you noticed any jaw pain, sleep apena, lisp, teeth shifting etc. with the extractions. I'm at the point in my journey where I have to make the decision to extract top premolars or not and I'm nervous. Great smile.

I was just actually gonna do a video update this week!! I haven’t noticed any of that! I sound exactly the same as I did before my braces, no lisp! You do end up talking a bit differently when you have the braces on though. I wear my retainers every night(even though I don’t have too) because I’m so scared they are gonna shift! What are you most nervous about?

@@Melissadacruzz Thanks for the reply. I'm concerned about developing an issue that I don't currently have. I've been in braces for about 15 months and my former ortho left the practice and I now see his partner who during my first appt with him suggests extracting premolars. Its always good to see/hear some else experience.

Trust me I understand!! It took me months to decide if I was going to extract the teeth or not. I watched videos, googled, researched and asked the Ortho a million questions! If you’re still unsure have another sit down with him and bring forward all your concerns and then decide if it’s still the right decision! My teeth are big and wouldn’t have much space to move if I didn’t get the 4 extracted. I would only see a real difference if I took them out. They look amazing now and I have no regrets!! Oh... and I’m flattered when people ask me if they’re veneers 😂

@@Melissadacruzz Same here. I have gone back and forth with them and got a second opinion that only made the decision that much harder. The second opinion suggusted invisalign without extraction, which would be good if I thought I could commit to keeping them in which is a must to get the results for the additional money I would have to pay. Whichever way I decide to go, I can't wait to have this great smile and low key get on everybody's nerve showing my teeth.

fast hazel exercise?! Absolutely!! You can do pretty much everything you did without the braces (except eat certain foods of course!)

I’ve heard people said that your face ages after an extraction . And it looks sunken in. Could that be true at all ?!

hill top check my most recent video.. does my face look sunken in? LOL I’ve actually been told I look younger since getting them off. But, yes I’ve heard this before and I don’t know, it didn’t happen to me but everyone is different! Are you thinking about getting this done?

hill top hahaha maybe I will start aging rapidly out of nowhere 😂. My teeth wouldn’t look as good if I didn’t get the teeth removed. I’m happy i did it! Stop reading all the bad stuff lol you’re gonna look great once it’s all done!! How long will you have the braces on for?
