Adult Literacy Program

I've been in the NGO sector and covered various schemes eg feeding, health etc I found that the adult literacy was the most powerful and transformative out of all of them As soon as people learn to read there are these incredible ripple effects of social advancement that impacts them, their families and their communities on so many levels - education improves, employment gets better, businesses grow, health improves, less pressure on the health system, less legal issues with drop in exploitation, better parenting overall, less religious hypocrisy and crime rate drops If you don't support adult literacy or literacy in general then your not serious about improving society or changing the world for the better
