I am Acholi too, from South Sudan. We from Agoro clan speak almost exactly like Alur and Dholuo of Kenya.

Adii Mudong, Adii munywal! In the 1970s, during idi Amin's time, it was blaring on Radio Uganda. THANKS for reminding me of those past years by reviving the music. And yes I am also reminded of my good old years in Gulu high school with; James Kuyeo, Owachgiwu, Gwasa Kwals, Okii -that stubborn boy- and of couse my best friend Ukumu Geoffrey (Azikiwe). What about Alum, Atimango, Auma etc all form Alurland in West Nile. Really great old days in Gulu high school.

What perfect tuning and balance between instruments and voices! It's better than many studio recordings.

Not a single watt of electricity used to produce such beautiful music from those instruments. Lovely performance! Hopefully someone can publish the lyrics in English for the non Acholi speakers

Agoro clan, Acholi of South Sudan must have branched from Alur because we speak more like Alur, and other Acholis hate us for speaking differently. I am so proud of Alur and Dholuo (Kenya) languages which is so close to my Agoro dialect. Keep it up my people.

This song is combination of very many songs but Adimudong was a song sung by the soldiers of Amin after they were over thrown by the soldiers from Tanzania in 1979. They were just thinking of their properties which remained behind because they never expected to be de-fitted by they wakombozi from Tanzania and Adimudong ni Munyali means How many thinks remained rustering after the war. It was just a crying moment to these soldiers because they withdrawal even leaving their families behind beacuse there was n't even vehicles due to the East African community which first blocked fuel entrance to Uganda. So that is Adimudong ni munyali. Munyale is a Bantu word which means rust but they pronounced it Munyale. Ok!
