There is no way in which these judges could recuse themselves. They are worried that they would be exposed by those whom will be replacing them that they couldn't apply their mind by sentencing Zuma in 2021. So they have to refuse recusal because they are concerned about their reputation as concourt judges and they are trying to maintain the reputation of Apex court because is loosing its grip on the eyes of south africans. I wouldn't be surprised if they rule against Zuma but we should know that it doesn't means zuma's case doesn't have a substance. It would be that they are just protecting themselves from embarrassment. One thing l like about Zuma is the he is paving a way for the law to be questioned and proven to be unreasonable. This makes me to think about millions of people whom have been convicted unfairly and do not have financial muscularnity to have top lawyers like Dali Mpofu to appeal their conviction. Sometimes, l am of the view that judges do it deliberately to cut the matter short, knowing that the convicted don't have a glue about the law and if he/she does it requires money to take it further
