ADVANCE STEEL - THE BASICS: "1. TEMPLATE" (30+ PART SERIES)

Love the channel. I was wondering. I tried to set my template to include the cameras like yours but when start a new project they don’t show. Any standard lines show but no advance steel items. Any trick in getting it to save them?

Thank you, shouldn't be an issue, how are you saving the template file, are you saving it correctly as a .dwt

@@EIRCAD yes opened template made changes then saved as dwt. When I open new file with template it still has all my lines and text but no advance steel items such as view boxes or compass. Using 2022

@@EIRCAD got it working. It appears that I had the template saving in shaded visual style. When I turned on to 2d wireframe it all showed up.

Just curious, why do you have cameras in your template? Aren't they pretty easy to set without having them in the template?

Hi david, yes they are easy to create but you can have the scale, type of camera, xy and z values set in template, or if you prefer to do that everytime you can.

There are no training files really, I usually just record something I'm working on if I think it would be of benefit to someone
