Don't ask me how. I kept on pouring troops at him on all fronts and actually managed to capture his side bases and some of his main base before *routing* his units. With five days to spare. It was still a B rank, but a very high one at that. That's the best I've EVER done in nearly 20 years playing this game - and it was in the remaster.

I managed to squeeze out an S-rank. Sensei in the middle, Colin on the left and Eagle on the right. I spammed bombers with Colin to soak up the meteor strikes and threaten his left side with a massive death ball of infantry and rockets. Sensei held the line with OP infantry, battle copters and Anti-Air. Eagle was the hammer to the anvil, and stormed the laser with three bombers, with Lightning Strike on the backburner.

Colin is generally the best choice in the middle because he can keep on throwing out fodder to weather Sturm's attack. All he needs to do is survive while the other 2 COs Bomber rush him.

Ah yes, the theme of an opponent that can, and will, mercilessly grind you into paste the first time you fight him, because unless you experience it first hand, you have no IDEA how insanely busted broken Sturm is as a CO. +20% Firepower, No terrain movement penalties, Rain does not slow him down either and to top it off? A CO power that will win games on it's own. Absolutely how a final boss should be.

There's a reason why whenever you fight him, you are always given AT LEAST 3 armies - barring Enigma's encounter, but that was because "Sturm" there was just an inferior clone. And whenever you confront him with 3 armies at once, he can and will shred your forces to atoms without trying.

i feel like Sturm's quote here is a nod to the old strat of sending two bombers; one on the right from whoever, and one from Colin just enough that the left or right Black Cannon doesn't shoot it in the same turn, and makes it just enough to push into the middle, where AA rockets stay away and if there's not an AA gun around, you win after the 2nd hit.

All the other AW2 Black hole COs are designed both with Singleplayer and Multiplayer in mind. They are given specific strengths to teach the player of the game's mechanics, gimmicks that make them fun picks in Multiplayer matches and 3/4 of them are intentionally made weak so that new players have a reasonable chance of winning in Singleplayer. Sturm tho? No, he is NOT made with Multiplayer in mind in ANY capacity. Sturm is the original Devs' way of reminding the player that this is a Puzzle/Strategy game and not a competitive 1v1 experience. He is not a "Top Tier character", he is the Final Exam before Summer Break that you did NOT study for.

Sturm is more like a diploma, you manage to beat the hardest mission in campaign (showstopper, danger X9, to the rescue, nature walk not withstanding) use this to dominate war room now Trust me, you earned it

@@korhol2065 Sturm is actually very easy to unlock, you only have to beat AW2's normal campaign with an average of an S rank. It was basically the devs' way of telling us to go nuts with him in the War Room if you want to wield a cheat code.

I just beat this level, and good God was it hard Basically what I had to do was turbo out as many neotanks as I could on the left side of the map and I actually won pretty fast, but my mid CO Colin basically got overrun with enemies. Kane I on the right diverted attention well but Jess + Neotank spam is really powerful

It wasn’t really that bad once I realized that if you keep the middle island out of sturms hands, play defensive on the left side while sending units from the center and prepare an attack on the right side while using said right side as a meteor magnet Apparently sturm has low priority on the right side where I had eagle, only normal resistance was there, at that point a lighting strike help secured the front and all that remained was taking out the death ray

When i said Sturm's original were better i meant before the final front version kicked in. This one blast his original. Why by Earth did they not allow this theme to be his super in versus or better, letting us custom theme for each character. Its frustrating to the point to maddening.

Final front sturm should start off with 10 recons, 10 tanks, 10 mechs, 6 neo tanks, 4 bombers 2 fighters and have 30 cities by default, that are not in danger of being capped.. and have the mangs advanced AI.. And the unit cap of 100.. Hard mode sturm should also have 10 battleships 2 subs, 4 cursers, & 10 battle copters..plus the units above.. Like that would have been the best ever... And when sturm pops his super power its the advanced wars 2 super power theme the dundun one..
