Do you think I should learn algorthmic f2l by only memorizing algs or just learn better ways to solve f2l cases with the algorithms but still using an intuitive approach of solving those cases?
@bearblack5459
@bearblack5459 6 жыл бұрын
the goal is 8 moves or less per case according to JPerm if you have food look ahead and have at least two slots left then you should be able to do the easier case
@graham_lively1732
@graham_lively1732 6 жыл бұрын
Figure out how to solve the pairs by yourself and then optimize the algorithms/fingertricks so it becomes basically and intuitive alg
@haz195
@haz195 6 жыл бұрын
If there are cases that you clearly aren't efficient at solving then you should learn algorithms for them, maybe for about 3-5 cases
@BrodytheCuber
@BrodytheCuber 6 жыл бұрын
I think that intuitive F2L is much better, because you have the understanding of F2L instead of just algs.

YEAS WALKTHROUGH SOLVES!!! Btw, for the last F2L case in your first solve where the orange and blue pair was stuck in the slot like that, you could rotate to put it in the FR position and do r U' r' u2 r U r' R U R'. Funky little trick. The reverse of that alg is pretty cool too for a similar case. Keep making high quality videos! They are MUCH appreciated.

Bear Black Cross can also be very difficult, and doing different F2L solutions can help get edges oriented. So one handed solving is still rather different from two handed.

C'mon Brody, on the first scramble, if you held blue in front and did D L D R2 D2, you could've preserved the pair with no extra moves and would have proceeded to insert it into the back. You should know better.
@the6sides
@the6sides 6 жыл бұрын
I like what you did with the blue and red pair, but you should've done the orange and green pair before the red and green because it was already a three mover and it wouldn't mess up the red and green. Also, awesome EO, the alg I use for that is different but I think I might start using yours.
@the6sides
@the6sides 6 жыл бұрын
For the second solve I was surprised that I couldn't find a good cross, but when you moved the corner so it wouldn't go in the bottom you messed up what would've been a free red and green pair, so you could've inserted it and taken out the blue and orange corner.
@the6sides
@the6sides 6 жыл бұрын
The third solve was pretty good, but for the fourth solve I would have done the red and blue first because I don't like L moves so I could do that and then rotate to solve the green and red
@the6sides
@the6sides 6 жыл бұрын
And then on the last solve I actually did U' (r U r' [R U R' U' X2] r U' r') because I was like 50% sure I'd get a skip and I did so that was kinda nice.
@the6sides
@the6sides 6 жыл бұрын
And on the 7th solve, you could've done a pretty easy weird free-cop type thing. L R2 F D L' U and then y' and then insert the pair in the back and orient your last cross edge with R' F U' R. The next thing I probably wouldn't have seen, but you could've done a U L2 to solve the orange and green pair, and then F' R' F' R to solve the orange cross piece, then that accidentally made the blue and orange pair, so you could insert it while fixing the blue edge.
