Oh, Rafael, just sell us a lut :) I will try once more with video recorded in artificial light. I do not like how any color grading looks in my room at day, so it is hard to understand what looks worst lut that I usually use on my attempts to color grade clip :)

The reason I bought myself color finale is because of you Rafael and So far, I enjoy it so much. The only issue I found is sometime when you make too much layer of grading, it really slow down your machine. Similar when you do HSL masking. Sometime using native masking from FCPX just feel more seamless. But overall Color Finale is a powerful plugin! Note: even the false color tab made a whole lot of difference!

Yeah I know what you mean, that is why I typically do my color work at the end of a project right be for export. The color tools in fcp have gotten better over the years but still feel like they lack the fine controls. Until then color finale or davinci resolve! No. Colour grading is not something FCP is meant to do, more than basic goosing. Colour grading is a serious skill and needs to be done in a much more serious app. Resolve is there for a reason.

I love that 40 years after I started my film and tv post journey, everyone has access to such awesome tools that every story can be told. I just wish young film makers didn’t feel like just because they can do something, doesn’t mean they should, because we all bring something to the project.

@@lukerabin5079 The only place I have found the "shreditor" The shooter, Editor, Producer is on YT - I have spent my professional career working with teams of super talented and specialized people. I encourage people to learn all aspects of film, it helps them quickly figure out what they like doing, what they are actually good at doing, how to communicate with other disciplines and departments. And ultimately see how much effort, skill, talent is actually needed to create even the seemingly "ease" projects. Majority of my audience is just at the beginning of that journey so I make entry level tutorials, and tell people that good gear won't make the better and to learn the fundamentals first. Like Learning lighting first, it'll make any camera a great camera. ;)
