Advanced Defense Guide for Eve Echoes. Exhaustive Overview with Tips and Tricks

God I love your Eve Echoes content. So concise, with hard numbers too. Now, with regards to the video... 1.) ALL SHIPS HAVE THE SAME RESISTANCE PROFILES FOR SHIELDS. This is *0%/20%/40%/50% [EM/Th/Kn/Ex]* 2.) All Minmatar ships have better EM resistance on their armor, which is 60% vs 50% for everybody else. Angel Cartel DOES NOT use the same armor profile. 3.) All Caldari ships have better Thermal resistance on their armor, which is 44.75% vs 35% for everybody else. Mordu's Legion and Guristas Pirates use the same armor profile. 4.) All Gallente ships have better Kinetic resistance on their armor, which is 36.25% vs 25% for everybody else. Sisters of Eve and Serpentis uses the same armor profile. 5.) All Amarr ships have better Explosive resistance on their armor, which is 20% vs 10% for everybody else. Blood Raiders and Sansha's Nation have 1 less percent at 19% but uses the same armor profile. 6.) On a point-per-point basis of "least resistance the damage type has to go through to get to hull", *EM is the best damage type to use against ALL SHIPS.* It only has to go through 60% resist (0%shield +60%armor) vs Minmatar ships and 50% vs everybody else. When you get to hull, all damage types face 33.3% resist since all ships have the same hull resist profile. 7.) Next is Thermal which only has to go through 64.75% resist (20%shield + 44.75%armor) vs Caldari ships and 55% vs everybody else. 8.) Next is Explosive which only has to go through 70% resist vs Amarr ships and 60% vs everybody else. 9.) Last is Kinetic which has to go through 76.25% resist vs Gallente ships and 65% vs everybody else. 10.) Kinetic weapons *suck very hairy, smelly, sweaty balls.* Every ship resists Kinetic damage way more than any other damage type. 11.) Ship Defense Upgrade skills BOOST SHIELDS MORE until lv5, which means lower levels favor shield tanks and armor tanks need to hit lv5 to get more out of it.

Actually, Shield field modules transfer all dmg came outside of field to ships within field to module owner and increase resistances of owner by these percents.

This - the video provided very wrong information about the Shield Field Module (or what some people refer to as the guardian shield). It makes the Guardian ship take 100% damage for any shots (from friend or foe) taken from outside the shield directed at any targets (friend or foe) inside the shield. The shield resistance is provided for the Guardian ship itself so it can tank significantly more DPS, instead of providing shield resists for all ships inside the field. The biggest drawback of the Shield Field Module is that it becomes useless as soon as enemies enter your shield field.

Question, do a video on doz and how to complete besieged house before lvl. 55. You can also do one on how to collect all pylons now and also how to complete it now. I would love that. One other thing. Do a video on what is the best items to craft or how to fight.

Structure repair module is in the game, just can't be traded and is pretty rare. Still not worth structure tanking though.

is there a consensus on what to use between shield extender or damage control? Like what would be a good tank fit for a maller? Right now im running an ab, damage control, shield rep, and 2 adaptives, but want a little more tankiness out of this. Damage control seems fine, but im wondering if maybe a second rep or a plate will be better. I also have a moa and am considering a similar fit but with shields instead. I am tanking t10 missions with 3 battlecruisers in the fleet.

You know that missiles shoot all 4 damage types and cannons shoot 3 damage types? Therefore also npc will do that, which use that type of weapons. Making adaptive superior. reactive is nice if you run both at once. Also the difference of shield/armor/hull hp is pretty small in EE. It is very different than in EO.

Since missilss deal all damage types, i would assume it is advisable to consider an adaptive shield hardener when ratting against missile primary pirates.
