About NIPCCD:
NIPCCD launched the Advanced Diploma in Child Guidance and Counselling in the year 2005 to address the need for trained manpower to work in the area of child and adolescent mental health. The course is under affiliation with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi, and is also recognized from the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
The Advanced Diploma has been designed to bridge the gap of availability of trained professionals for undertaking counseling and guidance of children and families in different settings. It has been planned with a Developmental, Ecological, and Rights Perspective to enable the learner to function effectively as a mental health professional with an updated understanding of theoretical constructs, and the requisite skills. The inherent emphasis of the program is on 'Development of Self' and 'Acquisition of Skills' through experiential and action learning.

Yes you can practice it in schools which accept distance courses. Usually they ask for regular diplomas.

Yes. Eligibility Criteria is: 1. Any recognized Master‟s Degree in Social work / Psychology / Child Development / Community Resource Management / Development Communication Extension / Nursing / Special Education. OR, 2. M.Ed. from recognized University. OR, 3. Any recognized Bachelor‟s Degree in Social work / Psychology / Child Development / Community Resource Management / Development Communication Extension / Nursing / Special Education with minimum 05 years of experience of working with children. OR, 4. B.Ed. from recognized University with minimum 04 years of experience of working with children.The candidate must also have studied English (Elective / Core / Functional) (01 paper) at 10+2 level or higher.

Anjali Ji, Higher Education Courses has no ahe gap. There are only age requirements for financial aid, or required for giving certain exams. Kindly fill the form as you get the opportunity

I can give you a clear idea of what this program is. I am also from ignou, completed my masters in applied Psychology. If you have any sc/st or other type of quota or you can score enough to come within rank 30 or if you have "jaan-pehchan" then go for it other than that they r only going to make the fool out of you. I gave cet exam this sept and ranked in 80s. I was sure i won't get selected as it is mentioned that seats are only 30. But asked us all people who were in merit list to come to counseling and that was yesterday 27/11/2020. I had no idea why they asked us to come. Other than giving us false hope nothing else happened. I am not feeling bad about not getting it as my rank was not that good but they shouldn't have called all the students there just to make the fool out of them. They gave us 3 days to prepare all the documents including 41000rs dd. They asked us to fill the papers and mind you for open college students they r asking for study Centre proof for which i had to travel all the way to ignou for that document even went there early morning on the same day as documents verification day. What i am saying is in this video they r talking only about good aspect of this course and it might be true but they r not talking about what actually happens during this whole duration of selection process. Want to do that then go for it but again if you have no quota and if you have not scored up to30 to 35 rank then don't even go there.

@@ohk542 go to RC for the same and talk to administration. For counseling they may ask you for all the documents but can give you time to arrange the documents. Make sure you have all other documents to get permission to arrange that one document. There is such thing as proof document for ignou so if RC is denying then they are lying.
