The Good Doctor is probably my favourite villain to play. You can keep your cards close and not play anything other than the Cane to the board, Rule New Orleans to the Fortune Pile and wait for the talisman to show. Other players, who usually expect lots of allies or items can't clearly work out how close you are to winning. One strategy you didn't mention is to move from the Voodoo Emporium to Tiana's Place and back again (especially if the cane is at the Emporium to do another action-ie discard your hand) to both fate other players every turn and discard your hand every time , milling through you deck for amulet/rule New Orleans. Not only are you getting through your deck faster to get those needed cards but you are also hampering your opponents every turn. This reduces the effectiveness of Evening Star (no Allies) and any Heroes played cannot steal the talisman when it eventually gets played. And that is if they fate you at all as they can't understand how far along you are (until you play Rule New Orleans). He's the master of the stealth win. Also if your lucky with your deck you can win very quickly without your opponents realising it. You only need 10 power to play Rule New Orleans (3P), the Cane (3P), the Amulet (3P) and Cards will tell (1P). I've won in 4 turns a number of times without my opponents realising what was happening until it was too late. The Doctor is definitely one that you have to watch from the very beginning or you can loose before you have even got started.

@@davidwhitfield6025 Very true. I didn’t notice that he could fate and discard every turn like that, as long as other players don’t cover those actions.

I never knew you could use the Voodoo dolls to move heroes that aren't at their location. That is honestly mind-blowing to me thanks for letting me know I might use that next time I play him.

@@ktoon4725 TBH, I didn’t know that myself for a while. When i discovered it, it opened a whole way of playing him! Enjoy!
