I‘m really surprised that only the vocabulary is vaster at the level C1 is. I think the huge step is from level B1 to B2 with all the grammar rules and then you need time to learn more vocabulary and build with them sophisticated sentences.
@LovelyEnglishStories
@LovelyEnglishStories 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, and often the jump between A2 and B1 can be quite big. At the C1 levels it’s about being able to understand idiomatic phrases, collocations and the nuances of the language spoken at full speed! (That is excluding academic English which is very different!)

I'm very shy in front of girls & native English people. I lose track of my mind, I begin to shiver sometimes and my blood begins to pump and my face start to flush. Despite I have extensive vocab, I feel less confident. I need to overcome this. I wonder how some people remain cool and talk with confidence.

I didn't understand "can of worms" at 9:00. Does it mean the situation gets worse again after college, when she enters university? Also I didn't quite get "we found we clicked instantly" at 9:43. Is it related to how registration works? People who register at the same time get identical schedule? Or is it just another fun coincidence about their friendship?
@LovelyEnglishStories

Hello! To “open a can of worms” means that things can get more complicated or difficult. When people “click” it means they have a lot in common and they can get very well. Hope this helps 😊
