Thank you for this lovely story. Working at the mansion has given Anna a new lease of life. If she had not left the cotton mill, she would have developed an illness.

Dear Ad. in the vocabulary part, the kind of "humiliated" is verb, it's not adj. Thank you so much from your videos.
@LovelyEnglishStories2 жыл бұрын
Hi Tran, Thank you for watching! We appreciate your support. 'Humiliated' can be both a verb or an adjective depending on the context, we should have said this in the vocabulary explanation. Thank you for pointing this out. If we use this word again, we'll be sure to give both meanings in our vocabulary explanations :)

It doesn't seem to be C1 C2 level at all. The intonation is wierd and incorrect mostly! The world "whilst" is pronounced wrongly too. Very many mistakes. The rest is Ok.
@LovelyEnglishStories2 жыл бұрын
Hello Olga 👋 Thanks for watching! We are a little confused by your comment as ‘whilst’ is pronounced correctly. This video was written, recorded and created by native British English speaking teachers so we can assure you the intonation is correct too (obviously it is dramatised a little in parts as it is a story, after all!). With regards to the level, this is a C1+ story, we check the content, vocabulary and phrases thoroughly before deciding on the level of each of our stories.
